Very sad news to share🥲

Obituary: Robert Park McClymont

August 6th 1937 - January 27th 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob McClymont, a much-loved and highly respected Chairman and Trustee of Winthorpe Village Hall.

Bob gave an extraordinary amount of time, care, and commitment to our village. As Chairman of the Village Hall, he always had a big smile, calm, thoughtful dependable leader who cared deeply about the Village Hall as the heart of community life — a place where people could gather, connect, and feel welcome.

His dedication to the Village extended to the Parish Council, where he worked tirelessly for the benefit of the village, offering wisdom, practical support, and a steady hand in guiding decisions that affected the whole community. Bob’s integrity, patience, and good humour earned him the respect and affection of everyone who worked with him.

Above all, Bob will be remembered for his kindness and the way he made people feel valued and heard. His contribution has left a lasting legacy, and our village is stronger and closer because of his years of devoted service.

Bob McClymont will be deeply missed by his Wife Diane, his Children, friends, fellow Trustees, Parish Councillors, and the wider village community. Our thoughts are with all who loved him, he will always be remembered with enormous warmth and gratitude.

RIP Bob 🙏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
