Staying in a caravan this summer? Have a look at the advice from the Lullaby Trust on safer sleeping for babies.

Avoid adult caravan beds for babies as these are often not safe. Cots, travel cots and Moses baskets are all good options. Your baby could also sleep in a carry cot. The most important advice is to place babies on their backs on a firm, flat sleeping space with no soft items, bumpers or loose, bulky bedding.

📅💊 People are being advised to order any repeat prescriptions ahead of the Summer bank holiday on 31 August.

Pharmacies are extra busy around Bank Holidays and opening hours may be different, so it is recommended that any repeat prescriptions should be ordered as soon as possible.

👦 Campaign to protect against measles 👧

Children aged from 12-months to 11 years old who have missed one or both doses of the MMR or MMRV vaccine, will be invited as part of the NHS England campaign.

In addition to measles, mumps and rubella, children aged under 6 years old will be offered protection against chickenpox (Varicella) with the MMRV vaccine. Older children will be invited to catch up on missed MMR vaccines.

Parents of children aged under six will be contacted by their local GP. Families with children aged between six and 11 will be invited by the NHS through SMS, email or letter.
