The Rotary Clubs of Newark and Newark Castle held their annual Awards for Courage at Newark Showground on Monday (March 16), a celebration of hard work and bravery in the face of adversity which has been held since 2012.

This year, the awards were for John James Coverdale from Newark Orchard School; Milana Simakova from The Suthers School; Theo Eliades from Sir William Robertson Academy; Johnthomas Adams from Magnus Church of England Academy; Bella Lane from ASI; Phoebe Walker-Price from Newark College; Natasha Norfolk from Tuxford Academy; and Jake Wright and Adbulhafiz Huseen from Newark Academy.

A great night was had by all at our annual Quiz Night fundraiser held at on the 24th February. Many thanks to their staff who looked after us all evening, also to our Quizmaster for making the evening so entertaining.

It was great to see teams from Kayaking Club, in Bloom and Club of Grantham Kesteven in attendance.

Pictured below are our Quizmaster preparing to spring into action, the winning team going by the catchy name of "As long as we beat Bob" - well done - and winner of Play Your Cards Right - Daniel Adams.

A total of approximately £900 was raised on the evening ALL of which will be going to good causes.

A big thank you to all who attended and hopefully see you next year!
