🧡 SEPTEMBER SPRINTS 2026 🖤

The Club Sprint Gala - September Sprints is coming in 1 month from now, on Saturday 26th September! 🙌

Hosted at OneNK in North Hykeham (same pool as Club Champs)

Open to all Newark Swimmers Aged 7+ including the Small Pool & Masters Swimmers 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

Enter by September 5th via members email link or Swim Club Manager messages. £5 per event

8yrs & Under race 25m in each stroke
9yrs & Over race 50m in each stroke & 100m IM

Age groups for Medals & overall winners will be age at the end of 2026: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, 15/16 & 17/Over

Awards for the top performer in each age group calculated as 6 points for 1st, 5 points for 2nd, 4 points for 3rd, 3 points for 4th, 2 points for 5th & 1 point for 6th totalled for each event

Arrival - 3.45pm
Warm Up - 4.15-4.51pm
Racing - 4.55pm

Medals and trophies will be given out as part of the club's annual presentation evening in November at the YMCA

Volunteer Roles:

It takes a small army for these events to run efficiently and successfully. To enquire about helping please email
[email protected]. We can then signpost you and support you
with training if needed or add you to the list.

You’ll get an excellent view of the races, no spectator fee and some free
refreshments throughout the evening!

Our Girls Vice Captain Ruby W recently passed her lifeguards exam, through Active4Today

Well done Ruby for passing the exam and showing younger swimmers what having strong swimming skills can achieve 👏

One of our volunteers/committee members (Bruce) has set up an online Club Kit Shop on Swim Club Manager 🙌

You can access it through the app or directly via these links - just log in with your swimmer's account - any issues, let us know via [email protected]

Order by 18 August for delivery before September Sprints

* In-stock items (Hats, Bottles, Croc Charms): We will check orders regularly and distribute these on Thursdays (or pass them to a coach/committee member if you swim on a different day). You can also still buy these at the club desk on Thursdays via cash or GoCardless.

Note: Swimming hats are now £5.50 following a small price increase.

* Clothing: Orders are placed with our supplier once a month. The August order will be placed on 18 August so swimmers receive their gear before the September Sprints.

* First sessions back: Sunday morning, 30 August and then Tuesday 1 September onwards
�(Note: Sunday PM sessions restart on 6 September and Monday/Ollerton sessions restart on 7 September because of the Bank Holiday)

🧡 MASTERS SOCIALS 🖤

Following a recent Park Run social 🏃🏻‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃 some of the Masters swimmers went to Sherwood Pines for an off road bike ride & had a great time after training today! 🚴🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

Food, bike ride then more food to keep the energy levels up! They all survived despite a wonky helmet, a face plant & aching thighs!

🧡 SUMMER SOCIAL 🖤

A fantastic day at Lincoln Water Park for the Summer Social 🙌

Everyone had a brilliant time jumping and sliding their way round the mega inflatable 🛝💦 followed by picnics 🧺
