Come with us for a little walk around the Library Garden, Newark. 😍💚

Summer in the Library Garden and doesn't it look glorious! There are so many more wildflowers than last year. We're pleased that our decision not to cut them back over winter has resulted in more self seeding and has brought even more colour to the garden this year. 🌸🌼🌺🏵

We wholeheartedly support this brilliant initiative to keep our parks poison free! Well done Extinction Rebellion Newark and Sherwood and Newark and Sherwood District Council👏 💚

🍃POISON-FREE PARKS IN NEWARK & SHERWOOD🍃
Three cheers for Newark and Sherwood District Council who have agreed to end the spraying of toxic chemicals on all children's play areas across the District with immediate effect 👏👏👏
This is a pilot scheme and here at PNGS we hope it will become permanent. If you feel the same, we encourage you to thank NSDC for this positive initiative. We understand that the work of Cllr. Dr. Simon Forde ([email protected]) and Councillor Paul Peacock([email protected]) was key to this successful proposal to protect our children, wildlife and environment.
Cllr Forde kindly credits Extinction Rebellion Newark and Sherwood for drawing his attention to the need to take up this initiative.

Happy Easter to all our friends and followers!🐣🐰

Some of our volunteers spent a busy couple of hours in the garden on Easter Sunday morning.

Amanda, Sallyanne, Darren and Darrell worked together to tick the following tasks off the 'to do' list:

✅️ Watered the willow arches and other plants
✅️ Weeded the planters
✅️ Fed the birds
✅️ Did a bit of strimming
✅️ Treated the pond for blanket w**d
✅️ Planted saplings in the hedges

Thanks all for turning out on Easter Sunday 💚 🐣🌼
