Do any of my friends live in or around Birdwell? 👋

If you do, I'd be really grateful if you could help me spread the word about my Silent Disco sessions at Birdwell Community Centre.

At the moment, around 10 lovely people come along each week, but I have space for 20, and I'd absolutely love to fill the room with more people singing, dancing, laughing and having fun together. 🎧💃🕺

What many people don't realise is that dancing and singing aren't just fun – they're genuinely good for your wellbeing.

🎵 Dancing can help reduce stress, improve mood, boost confidence and release endorphins (your body's natural feel-good chemicals).

🎤 Singing has been shown to reduce anxiety, improve breathing, increase social connection and even lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol.

❤️ Put the two together and you've got a fantastic way to lift your mood, move your body and forget about life's worries for an hour.

The best bit? You don't need to be fit, coordinated or able to dance like you're on Strictly! The sessions are accessible to everyone. You can dance your socks off, sway gently in your chair, sing at the top of your lungs or simply enjoy the music. There is absolutely no pressure.

If you've ever thought, "That sounds like fun, but it's not for me," I'd encourage you to give it a try.

🎁 Your first session is FREE if you quote the word:

"HEADPHONES"

when you book or arrive.

And as many of you know, every penny raised goes straight back into Su***de Sucks CIC, helping us continue our work supporting mental health, su***de awareness and community wellbeing.

So if you live locally, please give this post a share. You never know who might be looking for something fun, uplifting and a little bit different.

Thank you ❤️

Mick
