Sea Watch Foundation

Sea Watch Foundation Working with the public, the Sea Watch Foundation is a national marine environmental research charity

Sea Watch, through its continuous programme of research and monitoring, provides invaluable information on changes to the status and distribution of cetacean populations and the condition of their habitats. This is used to raise awareness of any issues and prompt environmental change to help conserve & protect these mysterious creatures. Sea Watch works tirelessly with environmental and government

bodies to provide information, data and evidence leading to the better protection and conservation of cetacean populations in British and Irish waters.

🌊 World Ocean Day 🌊

Without our protection, we lose some of the most curious creatures🐳

At Sea Watch Foundation, we monitor and protect whales, dolphins and porpoises around the UK, helping to improve our understanding of these remarkable animals and ocean health. Combining the power of people and science, we can make a difference together🌍

World Ocean Day may only come once a year, but protecting our oceans and the wildlife that calls them home is something we must strive for every day. 💙

💙Orca Watch 2026. Our 15th year of monitoring these gorgeous creatures💙

✨What a week! We had orca sightings (almost) daily, and ticked off a lot of "firsts" for many people! Our team worked so hard to make this year special, and what a success that was.

🙏To everyone that got involved, whether as a volunteer, sponsor, or just following along on our social media. Thank you. We could not continue this vital conservation event without the efforts of everyone.

🌍We will continue to monitor the cetaceans of the UK, so please help us in our mission. Become a member, a regular observer, or simply submit your sightings to us, and become part of this everlasting effort to save our seas.
