🎉Our of 2026 was another huge success. We were happy to see that not much rubbish was collected! A positive sign for New Quay and the strong community that we have here.

🌍However, the work isn't done yet. Each year, 400 million tonnes of plastic is produced and roughly 11 million tonnes enters our oceans. Without immediate action, there will be more plastic than fish in the sea.

💪Help us fight against pollution. Take rubbish home, recycle your plastics and join community cleans. Every small step can lead to a big impact.

At a time when pressures upon the coastal and marine environment are ever increasing, countries have pledged to stem biodiversity loss by fully protecting 30% of our seas by 2030

In the light of this, we sought to bring together a small group of senior marine scientists, policy makers and their advisors, environmental law specialists, and key stakeholders to critically examine the routes to achieving the above, and to identify practical measures that can be applied across the British Isles.

Together we can protect the seas of Britain and Ireland.
