Thursday’s Quizit at The Clubhouse at New Mills Golf Club saw a win for FUNKY BUNCH and a chunky £146 raised for New Mills Pride.

Big thanks to FAMOUS FIVE for a great quiz, our raffle prize donors including Peak Bean Coffee and Torr Vale Mills and of course our hosts at the Golf Club.

Next Thursday at 9pm we’re at The Hare and Hounds, New Mills supporting One World Festival New Mills. See you there Quizzers!

Performed by master of the violin Owen Cox; head of strings at Chetham’s School of Music and international violist Tom Kirby; who performs with the Birmingham Royal Ballet.
Arrangements of Bach piano preludes paired with the spectacularly virtuosic Passacaglia in G minor, by Norwegian composer Johan Halvorsen (based on Handel) will be performed along with Mozart's beautiful Bb major duo. Included in the concert will be a movement from a duo by Czech composer Martinů.

In addition to this superb concert you will be provided with tea and cake before the performance at 2pm.
Concert starts at 2:30pm.

Some of you may not know but my Dad Colin Richardson was a baker and made the most yummiest cakes, he retired 10 years ago and I’ve struggled to get him to do much baking but recently I’ve twisted his arm, he’s been making our yummy Flapjack for a while but I asked him to make some cornflake slices 😋 and he’s knocked up a custard tart 😋 thank you Dad 😘

​1:00 PM: 📣 THE PRIDE PARADE! Gather near the Rock Tavern at Hurst Lea Road to march together!

Fun From 11am: Head out for face painting, rainbow weaving, stone painting, a glass fusing workshop, or catch the Manchester Proud Chorus and Overgrown Theatre. Don't miss the Lip Sync Battle at 3:45 PM!

​6:00 PM - Late: 💃 Keep the energy going at The Official Pride After Party at Torr Vale Tap featuring DJ Frank Lupo, DJ Panama One, and a Q***r Anthem Disco!
