New Deer Public Hall and Community Association In August 2012, New Deer Public Hall celebrated 50 years of being the focal point of community activities.

Run by New Deer Community Association, it is a popular and well-used venue located in the centre of the village of New Deer in rural Aberdeenshire. Normally it is a centre for a variety of community activities, but with many of these suspended at the moment, the facilities downstairs are currently in daily regular use by the local Pre-School Group, and the large hall upstairs is being used regularly two days a week for the Primary School's PE sessions.

Fleeman Productions return to New Deer Public Hall on Friday 3rd July 2026 with Charles Barron’s comedy Skirlie.
Set in a school canteen something strange is boiling in the kitchens we take the lid off the pot and you’ll never feel the same way about school dinners again.
The fascinating characters include 3 dinner wifies whose combined skills barely qualify them to use a tin opener that’s if they could find one.
The teachers are more concerned with their private lives than the education of the pupils and a cleaner whose appearance causes some concern
Add a catering supervisor to the menu and the comic situations culminate in a surprising climax.
