💜 Some walkers become part of the fabric of the Wirral Coastal Walk. 💜

Meet Noreen and Sue, who have taken part an incredible 17 times over the years.

This year, they were walking in support of Maggie's, a charity that has become especially important to them. Sue's husband is living with cancer, and Maggie's has provided valuable support to people facing some of life's toughest challenges.

They were also walking in memory of a dear friend who sadly passed away. She was a passionate supporter of Maggie's.

Their story is a reminder that behind every fundraising page and every pair of walking boots, there is often a deeply personal reason for taking part.

Thank you, Noreen and Sue, not only for your incredible support this year, but for being part of the Wirral Coastal Walk family for so many years. 💜

🐾 Not all of our walkers have two legs! 🐾

Meet the McGarritys – Kirsty, Lauren and Maggie the dog – who took on this year's Wirral Coastal Walk in support of the residents at Safe Harbour Nursing Home.

Kirsty is part of the activities team at Safe Harbour and understands just how important activities, events and special experiences are in bringing joy, stimulation and companionship to residents.

By taking part in the walk, they are helping to raise funds that will support future activities and create even more opportunities for residents to enjoy memorable experiences together.

A huge thank you to Kirsty, Lauren and of course Maggie for supporting such a worthwhile cause and being part of our 40th Wirral Coastal Walk. 🐶💙

👣 Walking to help change lives around the world. 👣

One of the great things about the Wirral Coastal Walk is seeing so many different charities represented by our walkers.

This year, Richard, Mike and Nicole took on the challenge in support of Orbis, a charity dedicated to preventing avoidable blindness and improving eye care in some of the world's most underserved communities.

Through training, education and treatment programmes, Orbis helps people gain access to sight-saving care and opportunities that many of us take for granted.

We're delighted that Richard, Mike and Nicole chose the Wirral Coastal Walk to support such an important cause.

Thank you for taking part and helping to make a difference both locally and globally. 💙

💜 Walking in memory, walking with love. 💜

This year, Steph and Jules took on the Wirral Coastal Walk in support of Elsie's Moon, a charity that provides support to families affected by pregnancy loss, baby loss and neonatal bereavement.

For Jules, the cause is deeply personal. During her interview, she spoke movingly about her son, Will, who is sadly no longer with us. She also reflected on the support that charities such as Elsie's Moon provide to families facing unimaginable loss.

One of the most touching moments came when Jules said she hoped that "Elsie and Will are supporting us through this."

Those words capture exactly why so many people take part in the Wirral Coastal Walk. Behind every fundraiser is a story, a memory, and a reason for putting one foot in front of the other.

Thank you to Steph and Jules for sharing your story with us and for helping raise awareness of a cause that supports families when they need it most. 💜

💚 Some people don't just take part in the Wirral Coastal Walk – they help make it possible. 💚

Meet Paul from St John Ambulance.

Paul has completed the Wirral Coastal Walk an incredible 17 or 18 times over the years, making him one of our true walk veterans! But his connection to the event goes far beyond putting on his walking boots.

Year after year, the dedicated volunteers from St John Ambulance provide the expert first aid cover that helps keep thousands of walkers safe along the route. Their professionalism, commitment and reassurance are a vital part of the event.

Quite simply, without the support of St John Ambulance, the Wirral Coastal Walk could not operate as safely and successfully as it does.

A huge thank you to Paul and every member of the St John Ambulance team for everything you do. We are incredibly grateful for your continued support. 👏

❤️ Sometimes a whole community comes together behind one little person. ❤️

One of the most incredible sights on this year's Wirral Coastal Walk was the huge All In For Fin team.

Around 40 friends, family members and colleagues came together to support young Fin and help raise funds for life-changing heart surgery over in the USA.

Led by Fin's mum, Clare, the campaign has inspired people from across the community to get behind a cause that means so much to so many. Their energy, determination and team spirit were impossible to miss on the day.

The Wirral Coastal Walk is always about more than the miles. It's about people coming together, supporting one another, and helping families facing difficult challenges.

Thank you to everyone who joined Team All In For Fin and helped raise awareness for such an important cause. We wish Fin and his family all the very best for the future. ❤️

💙 Walking together for a very special reason. 💙

The Wirral Coastal Walk brings together people from all walks of life, and this group certainly embodied the spirit of the event. Fun!

The Bingles Walking Group from Ellesmere Port took on the challenge in support of Hope House Children's Hospices, a charity that means so much to their group leader, Joe. His son, Seb, receives support from Hope House, and the care they provide has made a real difference to their family.

By lacing up their walking boots and taking part in the Wirral Coastal Walk, the group helped raise awareness and vital funds for a truly incredible cause.

A huge thank you to everyone from the Bingles Walking Group for sharing their story and inspiring us all. 💙

💜 Every step tells a story. Every story makes a difference. 💜

One of the wonderful things about the Wirral Coastal Walk is meeting the incredible people taking part and hearing why they walk.

Meet Etty and Jane, who took on the 12km route this year while supporting the amazing work of Age UK. Their walk was inspired by the impact dementia has had on their family, with Etty's husband attending Devonshire Park and benefiting from dementia support services.

By taking part in the walk, they are helping to raise funds that support people and families facing similar challenges every day.

Thank you, Etty and Jane, for sharing your story and for making a difference with every mile walked. 💜

🌅 As the sun sets… 🌅

As the sun sets on today’s Wirral Coastal Walk, we just want to say one thing…

Thank you. 💙

To every single person who walked today—
your energy, your smiles, your stories…
that’s what makes this day so special, especially in our 40th year.

To our Rotarians and volunteers—
giving up your time to plan, organise and support the route from start to finish…
this simply wouldn’t happen without you.

And to our sponsors and supporters—
Merseyrail, Unilever,
Wirral Borough Council, St John Ambulance,
Phantom Digital, Newhall Publishing and Raynet Communications—
thank you for everything you do behind the scenes.

Together, you make this event what it is.

A brilliant day. A proud community. A walk that truly makes a difference.
