Chatterbox is back this Thursday after the half term break! We’re looking forward to seeing lots of little ones and their grown ups for bonfire night crafts, play, chatter and songs.

Chatterbox Toddler Group – Everyone’s Welcome!

Looking for a fun, friendly place to spend your Thursday mornings with your little ones? Come along to Chatterbox, our relaxed, parent-led toddler group held at John Pearson Hall (at St John's Church in central Alresford) every Thursday at 10 a.m.

We welcome children aged 0 to 5 years and their grown-ups to enjoy a morning packed with:

🎲 Toys and play areas – including slides, ride-ons and often a bouncy castle!
🎭 Role play, books and crafts to spark imagination and creativity.
🍎 Sit-down snack time for the children – usually water/squash, fruit, savoury and sweet biscuits.
☕ Tea, coffee and biscuits for the grown-ups.
🎶 We finish each session with a cheerful sing-along of favourite songs.

It’s a great way to meet other local families, let the little ones play and learn, and enjoy a lovely community atmosphere.

Donation entry: £1.50 for the first child, £1 for each additional child, with children's snack and adults tea/coffee and biscuits included. All proceeds go to cover running costs.

So come and join us – no booking needed, just drop in and say hello!

🌟 Attention Parents! We Need Your Help! 🌟

Hi everyone! As many of you know, our parent-led group thrives on the support and involvement of all our wonderful families. However, we’ve noticed that the responsibility for set up and tidy up is currently falling on just a few parents. This is not sustainable, and we need everyone who attends the group to step in and help keep things running smoothly!

Today, there was a significant amount of tidying left to do, and it was left to just two people. I believe we can do better together! It would make a huge difference if we could create a more formal rota or agreement for set up and tidy up duties. If we could have at least one person from our group each week to encourage others to pitch in during singing and help with the finishing touches, that would be a fantastic start.

If we can get enough volunteers, it could mean just one session of helping every 4-6 weeks—not a lot when we consider the importance of keeping this group running. This group relies on the generosity of time that each parent gives, and we truly need to preserve this community.

Let’s remember, “many hands make light work”! 😊 Our lovely church volunteers on the welcome team will be encouraging everyone to sign up, and we will also mention it after singing to get some more hands on board.
