In the lead up to World Female Ranger Week, I've teamed up with the International Ranger Federation to host two 'Women Ranger Leadership' Roundtables.
Join us online this March 24th to explore a critical question for the future of conservation: what does true visibility and leadership for female rangers look like?
While progress has been made, women remain underrepresented across the global ranger workforce - particularly in leadership and decision-making roles. Yet across the world, female rangers are already demonstrating powerful leadership through community engagement, operational expertise, cultural knowledge, and resilience in some of the most challenging conservation environments.
These interactive roundtable sessions will bring together female rangers, conservation leaders, and allies from around the world to share lived leadership experiences, explore the conditions that enable women to move from presence to influence, and identify practical actions to strengthen leadership pathways within the ranger profession.
I will be speaking alongside female rangers, allies, and other industry experts, along with cross-sector insights and participant discussions. The sessions aim to amplify female ranger voices, highlight diverse leadership models, and inspire tangible steps toward a more inclusive, representative, and resilient global ranger workforce.
Together, we will explore how elevating women’s leadership strengthens conservation outcomes and helps shape the future of protected and conserved areas worldwide.
