πŸͺ΄ Plant Appeal πŸͺ΄

At our July Meeting, we will be holding a charity plant stall at St Mary's/ Ruths Garden and are now starting to collect and prepare plants for the event.
We would be very grateful for any donations from your garden. If you have surplus seedlings, extra plants, or perennials that need dividing, we would be delighted to pot them on and help them grow

Donations can be dropped off at:
β€’ The Garden Club at Barley Village Hall on Tuesday 19th May
β€’ The WI meeting on Wednesday 3rd June
β€’ The milk stand next to the Clarion/Dawns on Jinny Lane

Alternatively, message and we will happily arrange collection 😘

Local smaller charities, feeling the squeeze right now.

At first glance πŸ‘€
Pendle Food for All might look like β€œjust” a food club. But zoom in a little, and it behaves more like a quiet scaffolding system, helping people steady themselves rather than simply handing them a ladder.

* We offer affordable, reliable access to food.

* We help to support budgetting and financial stability.

* We offer choice and dignity, a subtle but powerful ingredient.

* We provide social connection and community cohesion.

* We are a gateway to wider support.

The Bigger Picture 🧩
Think of our model as shifting from "emergency response" to "everyday stability". Instead of catching people only when they fall, we help strengthen balance in the first place.

Please support your local smaller charities πŸ™

Every little bit counts right here right now.

Pendle Food for All tackles food poverty by redistributing food that is still good to eat
As a "food for all" scheme, we reduce environmental impact by diverting items with "best before" dates away from landfills and onto members' tables.
