Thank you to everyone who entered the apple cake competition this year 👏 The variety and standard was impressive, making it very difficult for the judges. A truly international field with cakes from Denmark, Poland and South Africa! The final results were:
Under 16s - 1st: Oscar; 2nd: Alice and 3rd: Divania 👏👏👏
Gentlemen - 1st: Andy Price; 2nd: Andy Carter; 3rd: John Evans. Commiserations to Michael Tomkinson who just missed out on a rosette 😥
Open - 1st: Katie Sales; 2nd: Jenny Tomkinson and 3rd: Helen Morris.

Applefest next Saturday at Neen Savage Parish Hall. Entries for the apple cake competition need to be at the hall for 3pm. Open to all to enter, 3 categories- Gentlemen only, Under 16s and Open, £1 per entry.

A fascinating visit to Stockton Bury Gardens yesterday. The guided tour by Tamsin Westhorpe was so informative and gave us an insight into coping with the extreme dry conditions. We would delighted recommend a visit with tour.
It is possible to visit the coffee shop without visiting the garden.

Thank you to Farlow Farm Nursery for a fantastic visit this evening. Mark and family were so welcoming and it was fascinating to see how much work goes into producing the plants and shrubs available to buy from the nursery. The numbers of plants grown is staggering. It's wonderful to see a local family business investing for the future.

We sorted the chilrens clothes boxes at Cleobury Mortimer Market Hall this morning and there are lots of great items available. All these are in the 1 - 2 years box. Also lots of brand new items for newborns 😍
