Tonight our Beavers section started working towards the Experiment badge, we made and flew paper planes, evaluated our work, made adjustments and tried again, to perfect both our long distance and accurate flying!!

Being curious and using our critical thinking skills will help us as we complete this badge!

Beavers are back!

Summer holidays are over and we are back. Last week we had a "get to know you session" where we got familiar with our new members and played some parachute games.

And this week we started learning about safety, talking about dangers in the home and garden..! We also touched on what to do in an emergency, skills we will build on in the coming weeks.

02/08/2026

It has been 5 weeks since group camp 26. With over 50 young people attending we had a weekend filled with exciting activities and we wanted to share a snippet of our weekend with you.

If you are interested in hearing more about the exciting things we do in scouting or are interested in wanting to help create these amazing memories for our young people then drop us an email or come and see us at our open event on the 5th of September.

WE NEED YOUR HELP.

Needham scouts are holding a Family Fun Day and Open Day at Needham Scout Hut on Saturday 5th September, and we’re looking for stallholders and food vendors to come along and join us.

If you run a craft stall, sell food or drink, or have a small business you’d like to showcase, we’d love to hear from you. Pitches are available at a low cost and all proceeds go towards our Scout group.

It should be a great day for the whole family, and a nice chance to get your name out there in front of the local community.

If you’re interested, drop us a comment or send a message and we can sort out pricing and space for you. Spaces are limited so best to get in touch soon!

Thanks so much,
Needham Scout group

The Beavers this week spent the evening talking about garden birds and decorating bird boxes!

🐦🐦‍⬛🪶🦢🦉🦆

We hope to put them up around the hut.

We had some really excellent displays of teamwork, and the Leaders are so proud of how everyone threw themselves into the activity!!
