Neath Port Talbot Stroke Group. We are a support & social group for people affected by stroke in NPT [email protected]

Weekly Wednesdays 10am to 12pm

Please take a look at our 'upcoming events' and 'past events' to see what we do at our meetings and social events. Maybe you stroke has been so debilitating you've lost many interests both physically and emotionally. We want to start re-building old interests and creating new ones here in our group. Socialise with like minded people

Yesterday we welcomed Anwen and Hywel to our fab group. They entertained us with some wonderful songs from the musicals. One was a very emotional and moving song from Les Miserables ‘Bring Him Home’ which was tremendous. Thank you both for giving us your time 🥰

Wednesday saw us playing seated tennis thanks to Kevin from Community Reds. It was great fun and extremely competitive. There was lots of rule breaking but Kev kept us on track !!! Great morning 🥰

Yesterday was Mini Olympics morning in our fantastic group. Everyone took part and it was a great activity. Our Olympics included Axe Throwing; Archery; Quoits; Tower building. We had winners in both the stroke and brain injury category and the carers category. 1st 2nd and 3rd in each received a medal and a lovely bag of fruit containing pineapples, apples, satsumas etc. it was a great morning as usual 🥰

Today we played Boccia. We had 63 people in group today and huge thanks were given to Mel, Phil and Tina for running the activity for so many people. Everyone enjoyed and afterwards we all went to the Margam Deer for a fab lunch 🥰

Wednesday saw our talented group decorating tote bags. This was carried out with lots of help from Katie. Thank you so much Katie for helping us understand how plants and leaves can be used as decoration along with pens and felts. A very noisy morning but great fun 🥰
