We’re pleased to introduce Aled Davies who will be playing ‘Quasimodo’. The deformed bell-ringer of Notre Dame and Claude Frollo’s charge. He possesses a vivid imagination that brings to life the bells and gargoyles of the cathedral. Big-hearted, and brave when need be.

You may have seen Aled as Simon in our 2025 production of Jesus Christ Superstar. He has also played Tom Collins (Rent) and Khashoggi(We will rock you).

“I’m so excited to play Quasimodo because he’s such an iconic role. It’s such a challenging role physically, vocally and emotionally but it’s a challenge in which I’m eager to showcase!”

Introducing Gary Hinds who will be playing ‘Captain Phoebus de Martin’, Captain of the Cathedral Guard. Overconfident yet charming, this soldier makes the ladies swoon, yet his moral compass is also strong.

Past productions include Galileo(We Will rock you), Cosmo brown(Singin’ in the rain), Cat in the Hat(Seussical!), Romeo(Romeo & Juliet) and Gavroche(Les Miserables).

“I’m incredibly excited to take on the role of Phoebus. He’s a character with a great mix of confidence, humour, charm and vulnerability, but what excites me most is exploring the journey he goes on and the choices he makes when challenged by the world around him.”

📣 Cast announcement 📣

Say hello to Sophie Glendenning who will be playing ‘Esmeralda’. A free-spirited Romani woman who uses her talent as a dancer to support herself. Independent and
strong-willed, she speaks her mind and stands up for what she believes in.

Sophie has been involved in local theatre for 20 years playing roles such as Nancy(Oliver), Demeter(Cats), Carmen(Fame), Marty(Grease), Sandy(Grease), Lucy(Avenue Q), June(Gypsy), Billie(Our House), Jenny(Calendar Girls), The mistress(Evita), Evilene(The wiz) to name a few. You may have also seen her in the annual Gwyn Hall pantomime which she has been involved in for a number of years.

“I am SO excited to bring Esmeralda to life. Its amazing to be able to play such a strong woman with her own mind. It’s definitely a challenging role emotionally but Im loving every minute of it. She truly is an icon.”

We're looking for talented young performers aged 11-16 to join our Youth Ensemble, and we're especially keen to find someone to play the lovable and cheeky Michael Darling!

We are thrilled to announce that James Liam Price will be playing ‘Clopin Trouillefou’ The clever and charismatic King of the Roma. He is witty and playful, but he boasts a darker, serious nature when not performing for the crowd.

From stepping into Lola's iconic boots(Kinky Boots - NODA Winner) and embodying Gomez (The Addams Family), to bringing holiday cheer as Phil Davis(White Christmas). A true pantomime veteran, embracing villainy as Abanazer(Aladdin), Magnificent(Sleeping Beauty), Fleshcreep(Jack and the Beanstalk) and an Ugly Stepsister(Cinderella).

“I'm so excited about the opportunity to bring Clopin to life. What truly draws me to this role is his incredible complexity and vibrant energy. The chance to delve into such a dynamic role, especially within the powerful storytelling and breathtaking music of Hunchback, is an absolute dream.”

Welcome Rhys Hyett-Ferrier who will playing ‘Claude Frollo’, Archdeacon of Notre Dame Cathedral. He is the reluctant caretaker of Quasimodo. Calculating, manipulative, and obsessive.

On stage credits include Dennis(Rock of Ages), Caiaphas(Jesus Christ Superstar) and Max Von Mayerling(Sunset Boulevard - Regional NODA winner).

“I am excited to play this role because it is a challenging acting role. He is a very interesting and dark and flawed character, and working out how to display that on stage is very fun.”
