Every year, millions of pounds of welfare benefits remain unclaimed and often it is those most in need who do not claim their entitlements.
We are here to help you receive the money you’re entitled to, so our trained staff and volunteer team offer a confidential Welfare Benefits Service to people aged 50+ and their families.
We can provide information on:

👍 council tax and housing costs
👍 payment of benefits
👍 issues with benefits administration

Our Nail Cutting and Foot Care Service provides friendly, affordable care to thousands of people each year - either at welcoming community clinics or through convenient home visits, including care or residential properties.

If you have restricted mobility or manage ongoing health conditions, regular nail and foot care can play an important role in keeping you comfortable, independent and well. Our trained team is here to help you look after your feet safely and with confidence.

Such a fantastic commitment to older people's services over the past 20 years - Rachel has had an enormous impact on the lives of older people and will be dearly missed across all local Age Connects Organisations and Age Connects Wales. We wish Rachel the very best of luck in her new role.

After 20 years of dedicated service, Rachel Rowlands will be stepping down as Chief Executive of ACM at the end of August to take up a new role as Director of Community Housing at Trivallis.
While we’re sad to see her go, this is a moment to celebrate Rachel’s extraordinary contribution - not just to ACM, but to the wider voluntary sector.

Falls are a serious concern for older people, but they are not an inevitable part of ageing. With awareness and the right precautions, falls can be prevented, allowing older individuals to maintain their independence and live safely at home.
