Yesterday we had a fantastic time welcoming Bee from Foraging Ahead Ltd to YMCA Neath for a foraging workshop with the Chatter & Natter ladies! 💚

Bee shared her knowledge of the wild plants growing all around us, helping us learn more about what we can safely identify, forage and use. 🌱

It was a great opportunity to learn something new, spend time together and look at our local green spaces in a completely different way! 🐝

We’re so pleased to be able to include these words alongside all the photographs, memories and little pieces of Neath history that have been donated over the past few weeks.

Thank you for taking the time to be part of our 150th anniversary Time Capsule and for giving future generations a little glimpse into Neath in 2026! ⏳💌

Today we were delighted to welcome the High Sheriff of West Glamorgan Emrys Elias OBE and the Mayor of Neath Port Talbot County Borough Cllr Alan Lockyer to our Mugs & Mates coffee morning.

We enjoyed a good chin wag, a cuppa (or two!) and of course, Sandra’s famous sandwiches. 🥪☕

It was lovely to have the opportunity to introduce our guests to the people who make Mugs & Mates what it is and to share a little about the friendships that have grown from the group.

A huge thank you both for taking the time to visit us and to our Mugs & Mates gang for always giving people such a warm YMCA welcome! 💙

Pop in to collect a food parcel
Stay for a cuppa and a chat
Find out about other support and services available locally in Neath
