At 1st Narberth, we run four sections β€” Squirrels 🐿️, Beavers 🦫, Cubs 🐺 and Scouts ⚜️ β€” giving young people the chance to learn new skills, make friends and have adventures.

We’re always looking for more volunteers to join our team!

You don’t need any Scouting experience β€” just a bit of time and a willingness to get involved.

Whether you can help every week or just occasionally, every bit makes a difference. ❀️

Fancy giving it a go? Drop us a message! ⚜️

⚜️ SCOUTING ACROSS PEMBROKESHIRE ⚜️

Scouting is about giving young people the chance to try new things, learn skills for life, make friends, build confidence and have adventures β€” all while being supported by amazing adult volunteers.
Across Pembrokeshire, we have 10 Scout Groups, with 5 of those groups also offering Squirrels, as well as 4 Explorer Units for young people aged 14–18.

🐿️ SQUIRRELS | Ages 4–6
For many young people, this is where their Scouting journey begins. Squirrels learn through play, games, simple challenges, exploring the outdoors and trying new things.

🦫 BEAVERS | Ages 6–8
Beavers become more independent, learning new skills, working together and discovering the world around them.

🐺 CUBS | Ages 8–10Β½
Cubs take on bigger challenges, from camping and outdoor adventures to practical skills, teamwork, creative activities and much more.

⚜️ SCOUTS | Ages 10½–14
Scouts are encouraged to take on more responsibility and challenge themselves through activities such as camping, expeditions, climbing, water activities, community projects and much more.

πŸš€ EXPLORERS | Ages 14–18
Explorers have greater freedom to shape their own programme, take on leadership opportunities, complete awards and challenge themselves with new experiences.

❀️ NONE OF THIS HAPPENS WITHOUT VOLUNTEERS
Every meeting, camp, hike, activity and adventure is made possible by adult volunteers giving their time.

And volunteering doesn't mean you need to be an expert in Scouting.
You could help run a section, support activities and camps, help with events, fundraising, maintenance, administration or simply give a few hours when you can.

There is a role for everyone.
We have more young people wanting to experience Scouting, but to give them those opportunities, we need more adults to join our volunteer teams.

Whether you can give a few hours a week, help occasionally or bring a particular skill to the group, your support can make a real difference to a young person's experience.

πŸ‘‰ Could you help us give more young people the opportunity to develop skills, confidence and memories that last a lifetime?

Get in touch with your local Scout Group or Pembrokeshire Scouts to find out how you can get involved.

🚨 WE NEED YOU! Could you help make Scouting happen in Narberth? 🚨

You might know us as 1st Narberth Scouts. You might have a child who comes along every week. Or perhaps you’ve seen us out camping, fundraising or getting involved in the local community.

But behind every activity, every camp, every badge and every adventure is something we simply can't do without...

VOLUNTEERS. ❀️

At 1st Narberth, we provide Scouting for young people from 4–14 years old, through:

🐿️ Squirrels – 4–6
🦫 Beavers – 6–8
🐺 Cubs – 8–10Β½
⚜️ Scouts – 10½–14

We have a fantastic group of young people who are excited to learn, explore, make friends and try new things.

But we need more adults to help us give them the opportunities they deserve.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§ Parents – this could be you!

You don't need to have been a Scout.
You don't need to know how to tie complicated knots.
You don't need to be an outdoor expert.

You just need to be willing to give a little of your time and get involved.

You could help run activities, support camps, organise games, teach a skill, help with admin or simply be another pair of hands on a meeting night.

And you don't necessarily have to commit every week.

Even volunteering occasionally can make a huge difference.

πŸ’‘ What do you get out of it?

You'll meet new people, learn new skills, spend time with some brilliant young people and have the chance to do things you probably wouldn't normally get to do.

Most importantly, you'll know that you helped a young person have an experience they'll remember for years.

πŸ™Œ We can't do it without you.

If every family who benefits from Scouting gave just a little bit of their time, we could do so much more.

So if you've ever thought:

"I'd love to help, but I don't know anything about Scouting..."

That's okay. We'll help you learn.

If you've ever thought:

"I'd love to volunteer, but I can't commit every week..."

That's okay too. There are lots of ways to help.

If you've ever thought:

"Maybe I could give it a go..."

This is your sign. πŸ‘‹

πŸ“© Send us a message today to find out how you can get involved with 1st Narberth Scouts.

Come and be part of the team. Help us give more young people . ⚜️

Last weekend our older Scouts had the opportunity to complete their Expedition Challenge. This involved planning and undertaking their own two-day expedition, covering over 13 miles through rural countryside.

It was fantastic to see them working together, developing their skills, and most importantly having a great time. Well done to everyone who took part! πŸ‘πŸ•οΈπŸ₯Ύ
