Can you offer this boy a new loving home?🐓💛

He was dumped and left to fend for himself along with 2 other boys. He is a little flighty and nervous so will need to be in an enclosed space until he’s gained some confidence. Loves his treats and is gentle to his ladies 🥰 he is bantam sized but can go with standard to large sized hens.

Currently at the rescue here but can potentially be transported!

Nala & Felix – Bonded Pair Looking for a Loving Home 🐾

Viewing is essential before adoption.

It is with a heavy heart that we are looking to rehome our beautiful cats, Nala and Felix, due to an upcoming house move. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Both cats had a Ragdoll mother and mixed-breed father, though they are not related siblings.

Felix – DOB: 18/06/2022
Felix is almost 4 years old and has a confident, affectionate personality. He loves attention, enjoys cuddles, and has a playful, boisterous side.

Nala – DOB: 16/12/2024
Nala can be a little timid when first meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable she is incredibly loving and enjoys curling up for cuddles.

Both cats are neutered and microchipped. They have previously had one round of vaccinations; however, these will need to be restarted and continued under a new vaccination plan with their new owners.

They are currently indoor cats, but they may enjoy safe outdoor access in the right environment.

Both cats are gentle, friendly, and great with people. We are looking for a calm, loving home where they will receive plenty of care and attention.

Their adoption will be subject to finding the right home, and we will only rehome them to people we feel completely comfortable with.

Please feel free to message with any questions.

These cats could be rehomed with other cats too💗

Yesterday afternoon I had a call out for 3 dumped cockerels an hour from me. I went over straight after work and found them on the edge of a back road.

Thankfully they were starving so they were extra keen to go into my trap! The last boy kept me waiting as he was more interested in dancing for Bee, my ex commercial girl I took with me to tempt the boys even more😏

He finally decided to step into the trap and within about 5 minutes we were packed up heading home🏡

These boys will be looking for their forever homes so please get in touch if you have space 💛 potentially can be transported 🐓

🦆Remaining Runner Duck Update 🦆

This morning I went over to Fife to try and catch the last male runner duck! Paul met me over there to help.

It took a good 45 minutes but he went in the enclosure! I pulled the fence closed behind him but the netting on top of the enclosure had ripped in the weather so he just flew over the top 😭😭

So frustrating when this could’ve been the end of the duck chapter!!

Without any netting to do repairs, and the enclosure needing to come down due to events happening at the location, I left empty handed.

This rescue effort is going to have to go on pause whilst events take place over the summer at the Loch.

We are super lucky to be granted permission for the enclosure to go back up in the autumn temporarily so I can finish this duck rescue once and for all!! I’m so determined to get the last one 🦆

To be continued…

A few days ago I was alerted to a Facebook post about a hen 🐓 living feral in Evanton near the railway line. Today I headed over with a trap in the hopes of catching her.

She turned out to be a tiny bantam girl — and bantams are ALWAYS super fast! 😂

After spotting her on someone’s front lawn, I threw a few treats down while I set up the trap and she came running over. She wasn’t overly scared of me which was a really good sign. Once the trap was ready, she circled it a few times, very interested in the sunflower hearts inside 🌻

Within a few minutes she was in the trap… which I may have pulled a little too enthusiastically 🤣🤣 Watch the video below to see what happened!

This little girl is now safe here at the rescue and has been named Pip 💛

Freddie’s story 🐓💔

Freddie came to me about a month ago as a very poorly boy. He wouldn’t walk or eat on his own, he could barely stand.

I soon discovered Freddie had a terrible worm burden which was the cause of a lot of his symptoms, once treated he started eating well and his favourite food was watermelon🍉💛

He had leg injuries from someone crushing him, which I believe potentially damaged some of his organs too 😭

As time went on, Freddie began to stand, take steps on his own and even got on his bedtime perch. He was making amazing progress and I was falling in love with him 🥰

Sadly, on Thursday he took a turn for the worst and very suddenly passed away😭😭

I’m absolutely gutted I couldn’t save Freddie, if only he had been treated better by the breeder who crushed him and left him with terrible worms.

This is a reminder to everyone to check your birds for worms, they do more damage than you think! And always remember to be gentle with their little bodies❤️‍🩹

I love you Freddie 💛🌈

MEET ROGER 🤩🐓

Roger is one of the happiest cockerels I’ve ever had in the rescue. He was dumped in the woods 🌲 a few weeks ago 3 hours from me! Luckily I had a wonderful lady called Chloe who was feeding him daily which led to another man being able to catch him.

Roger had a week long sleepover at Chloe’s before she met me half way to cut my travel time a bit. I can’t thank you enough for your support with Roger 💛

Roger has bad scaly leg but once that is fixed he will be going to his new forever home 🏡 🥰

We’ve got a new face here at the rescue 🐓💛

This beautiful Brahma girl came in about a week ago, she has deep lacerations down the sides of her back and needed ongoing treatment.

When she arrived she was covered in lice and had maggots in her wound. This was because she had been outside with a fresh injury which made her easy pickings for the flies to lay eggs 🤢

She is on the road to recovery and will be back to normal within a few weeks time 💗

Pictures of her wounds are in the comments as they are quite graphic!
