Boys still waiting for their forever homes 🥺🏡

2 older boys around 8months - 1year old

2 young boys - under 6 months old
not crowing yet so will only be able to go in with young hens as older hens will beat them up as they are not mature

Although the page has been quiet, the rescue definitely hasn’t been! I’ve been feeling a bit all facebooked out!

At the weekend these 3 were lucky to be saved by a kind human from the commercial industry. I said I’d take them on 💗

One of them is suspected to be a cockerel but with how bald they are it’s honestly hard to tell at this point🤣 He/She!? Doesn’t lay eggs, has spurs and has attempted to crow but we aren’t sure if this is just a hermaphrodite hen. I will keep you posted on that one🤭

Eventually these will be looking for their forever home 🏠

Another rescue call out! 4 baby boys dumped on the side of the road in the sweltering heat in England🥺 Left with no water at all. I’m currently in England and the call came through FPC Poultry Rescue UK so I headed out on my own to try and catch them.

As soon as they saw me they came running over. They were fairly tame so whoever owned them loved them one day and threw them out like rubbish the next 😡

I set up a trap with food in and didn’t even have to use the lead to pull the door. They happily walked straight past me in the trap for the food making happy noises. 1 boy was a bit thick and couldn’t work out how to join his brothers 🙄😂 so I shut the trap and set up another one. He went in straight away. All babies safe 🥰

Sorry for the wasted trip Helen Louise Paxton and Lou Gower I got in there before you 🤣🤣

If you can offer one a home 🏡 please get in touch, between myself and Amanda we have so many boys waiting. We can cover between Lincolnshire and the Highlands as I will be driving back up the country next week if anyone is on route 💛

A very late update on Lily 🥰

Lily the Brahma came in with terrible maggot infested wounds on her back, within 4 weeks she was completely healed! A mixture of antibiotics, pain relief and leucillin spray and a cover on her back so the flies couldn’t get to her meant she was on the mend pretty quickly. I also had to remove the maggots 🤢

She will stay at the rescue for the rest of her life and my mum is obsessed with her 🤣

We’ve had a large group of poorly hens come into the rescue which are going to be here for a little while. They are all on medication at the moment with a few being tube fed too

These 4 leghorns came in as poorlies after being saved from slaughter back in June 🥺

Well I think they’re feeling a lot better 😍

Things are a bit muddy here with the strange weather we’ve had but they don’t seem to mind🤣

These girls will be going to their forever home soon 💛

These 2 little ones hitched a ride from FPC Poultry Rescue UK a few weeks ago.

They were both dumped, just tiny babies!!

We think 1 girl and 1 boy 🩷💙

Very excited to have hit 1K followers! I started this rescue only 9 months ago and the support has been overwhelming.
