I have just gone back through our page to see when we started it (Oct. 2019).

It is sad to see how slow the progress has been in some areas but encouraging how real progress has been made in others.

I think David Attenborough looks better than he did when he made his video around the time of COP 26 and a very young looking Greta tweeted a message about the airport expansion. https://x.com/COP26/status/1364211041140412418

"ONLY ONE COMPANY HAS 4 STARS CONSISTENTLY"

Surely 4 stars is a minimum? I don't know why people are not marching in the streets about the Water Companies' performance, have a look at the table published by the Environment Agency in October '25. Their part in the present situation doesn't reflect well on them and Ofwat weren't blameless either!

Earlier in the Year the Government published a National Security Assessment. It predicted the threats to Britain as a result of the climate crisis and biodiversity loss.

Last week a film launched and is screening around the country. We have teamed up with the Methodist Church in Nailsea and will be showing it on Friday June 26th, more details to follow.

We all know we are using too much plastic, it is such a versatile material and so many things can be produced using it. We can even print our own items at home.

But there are significant downsides; according to the United Nations 85% of marine waste is made up of it and waste managment of plastic waste contributes about 4% of Greenhouse gases to our atmosphere.

So it is exciting to hear of a Wolverhampton company with a young CEO using seaweed to make disposable items for the NHS.

A clever new start up in Wolverhampton turns seaweed into pellets that can be poured straight into existing injection moulding machines. The result? Parts th...

What we should be doing is celebrating the UK successes, for some reason we are really bad at highlighting the progress we are making in building renewable capacity. For example (details in the link).

Solar farms, wind turbines and geothermal heat pumps are breathing new life into former collieries. So why don't we hear more about them?

Not for the first time Kemi Badenoch has accepted hospitality from a climate denier.

Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch enjoyed a £7,500 getaway in February at the home of an influential anti-climate donor, DeSmog can reveal. New records show that Badenoch and four members of her family spent six days at a residence owned by Neil Record, a former currency trader who chairs Net Zero ...

Kemi Badenoch Campaigns For North Sea Drilling at Company Owned by Oil and Gas Executive Who Donated £250,000 to the Conservatives.

Surely our politicians are more honourable than this?

The Conservative party, which calls the Government's plans for replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy "crazy" has also taken millions of pounds from funders and directors of anti-Net Zero lobby groups

THANK YOU

We are so grateful to all those who came to the the events we organised with Avon Wildlife Trust on Feb 28th. To those who worked so hard to put it all together and most of all those who came to play, listen to stories and the panel discussion. Over 150 people came to learn about the precious habitat on our doorstep, showing that there is a good deal of interest in our local nature.
