The Mytchett Community Association (MCA) was formed in 1976 to raise funds to assist the Borough and County Councils build a Community Centre in the village of Mytchett, providing rooms and outdoor spaces to benefit the local community. The MCA was required to raise £20,000 before the Borough and County Councils would fund the er****on of the building, the Community Centre opened in 1987. The MCA

are the charity responsible for the running of the Mytchett Community Centre, and from 1987 to today, the MCA has ensured the Centre is self supporting by hiring out the rooms and playing fields for parties and events, as well as organising our own fund raising events such as the annual fireworks display, family fun day and regular quiz nights. We do not receive any external funding, but have to raise every penny needed to run the Centre, this runs to thousands of pounds every month. The extensive grounds include two football pitches in addition to hosting weekly car boot sales. The large car parks ensure that local residents are not disturbed by the numerous visitors, and can accommodate up to 185 cars. The Mytchett Centre hosts numerous clubs and societies with activities for all ages, these include sports, dance, health and wellness, drama and craft groups attended by over 1000 people a week. Our aim is to provide competitively priced facilities for the local community to encourage health, well-being as well as bringing people together as a community and preventing loneliness

THANK YOU!!

What an amazing day our annual Fun Day was yesterday! So, a huge thank you to:

♥️ All of our wonderful volunteers - both new and old, for car park stewarding & running our stalls.
♥️Our fantastic committee members who help pull this event together, year on year
♥️The extremely talented Sneakin' Suspicion, for proving us with live entertainment throughout the afternoon.
♥️Pro Dogs Direct for all their efforts running the dog show.
♥️The stall holders for supporting our event & providing an array of items and information to our guests.
♥️The caterers for keeping us hydrated and fed.
♥️Rob Scott, for donating his time to oversee our Tug Of War proceedings.
♥️Frimley Park Radio for ensuring everyone knew what was happening throughout the day, and keeping us entertained.
♥️Our awesome staff who work tirelessly at all of our events, and every day operations.

And, most importantly.....

THANK YOU to everyone who came to support us! ♥️♥️

It was lovely to see so many familiar faces, but also many new ones!

We couldn't do it without all of you.

We have many events throughout the year, and we would love to see you all at some of those too. But, today, much like Minnie and Lea, we are all recovering from our busy day, and reenergising ourselves for the next one!

We have been given Five day passes to Butlins at Bognor Regis. They can only be used next weekend (please check Butlins website for availability). They can be used for adults or children. Current day pass prices are £20-£30 per person.

We would like to offer these in return for a minimum £50 donation to the boiler replacement fund.
