We may now be an independant Guild, but some things never change - we will always have cake! Thank you Julie for hosting a lovely coffee morning, enjoyed by all who came. Nearly £60 raised to go towards Guild funds/donations.

Yesterday we held our 1st AGM as an independent guild. 7 of the original committee were re-elected, one resigned & we welcomed 1 new committee member.
After the vote we held our annual auction. This year our chosen charity is Motor Neurone Disease, as, sadly , we lost one of our members last December to this horrible condition. We raised over £200.00 and are making this up to £300.00 with funds from the guild.
40 of our 50 members attended, we have a waiting list, so are still thriving.
Next months meeting is April 2nd with a talk about Southern Adventures with bees from Evelyn Auld.

Sadly, due to lack of funding & membership Townswomen’s Guild Head Office & Registered Charity will close on 31st January 2026. We were advised we could keep able the name Frimley & Mytchett Townswomen’s Guild, and after a vote from our members, have decided to retain the name. As we have a strong membership we are going to continue as an independent women’s group. A new constitution has been drawn up and voted on and insurance is also in place. We hope our members will not notice any significant change to our meetings as location, monthly meetings etc will remain the same. Wish us luck.
