297 Musselburgh Squadron, RAF Air Cadets National Youth Organisation.

We are a uniformed youth organisation who meet twice weekly at our local sqn, we partake in many different activities including flying, adventure training, duke of edinburgh, sports and first aid to name a few.

L98 Shooting

Yesterday saw the 3rd visit to RM Condor and all 4 cadets who are working through the progressive training syllabus managed to pass CLF 5. Next month all 7 will travel to Barry Buddon to shoot on the long range at 100m.

On Thursday, Cadet Sgt Jakub Rekowski was presented with his Lord Lieutenant' Cadet Certificate and badge by Mr Roderick Urquhart, Lord Lieutenant of East Lothian.

The event, organised by Executive Warrant Officer Chris Gay from the Sea Cadets, took place at the Ravelston House Hotel

Jakub and his fellow Lord Lieutenant's cadets from Sea Cadet Corps, Marine Cadets and Army Cadet Force will attend events with the Lord Lieutenant or one of his nine deputies over the next 12 months.

Jakub has already attended a Citizenship ceremony at John Muir House, Haddington.
