It is good to see when other community groups help each other. Murrow Village hall and the Playing Field are managed by the Murrow Community Facilities Management Committee.
This morning some of the Murrow Street Pride Group child volunteers litter picked the playing field and helped tidy the hall. Well done, keep up the good work.

A new opportunity for our children ages 9 and over!

By way of introduction, I am Jon White and am in charge rapidly expanding a CIC, Group called the Marine Training Corps. The website is at https://marinetrainingcorps.org.uk/ and this explains more. The organisations ethos is quite simply, making young people better. On the 13.01.26 at 19.30 hrs we are to hold an open meeting at Murrow Village hall. All are welcome. The organisation provides a structured learning system (we are a registered alternative education provider) to young people. We have been in existence since 2014 and are mainly based on the South Coast. However, in the last 9 months we have extended into Yorkshire and the North. We have been invited to start up a unit based in Murrow to cover approximately 10-15 miles all around. This includes your area and as far as Peterborough. The difference between us and other cadet organisations is that we can set activities up very quickly and these can vary. Please look at the website for some of these activities. 2026 looks to be a very busy year. All staff are DBS enhanced, all activities are both insured and risk managed. Hope to see you all, parents, guardians, young people on the 13.01.26 at 19.30.
