Muirkirk Gala Day Social Media Policy
Muirkirk Gala Day is a charity run volunteer group and not an organisation. Due to these events being public we cannot stop any photos being taken by individuals taking p

art and posting on their own social media accounts as it is not illegal to take photos at public events. Muirkirk Gala Day also use our own social media platforms to publish our events. We take our own photographs to share with the local community the work that we do. Every event will have photographs taken and used for this purpose. If you do not wish to have you or your child’s photo taken, please ensure that you contact a member of the Gala Committee before the event and we will endeavor to meet your request, however this will be purely for the Muirkirk Gala Social media platforms and no other individuals attending our events. If you are still concerned regarding photos being taken, we would advise for you or your child to not attend any event to align with your personal wishes. If any photos are taken and posted on our social media platforms after our events, you can contact us we will remove the photo immediately. This policy stands for all Gala Day run events including the gala day itself. If you would like more information, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Best Wishes

🚴‍♂️🌟 A massive thank you to all these amazing kids who turned up today to take part and the race track for letting us hold the bike race there!

They were absolutely brilliant and, if we're being honest, probably did better than some of us adults could have managed! 😂
We're still counting up the donations and will post the final total as soon as we have it, but regardless of the amount raised, we couldn't be prouder of every single one of them.

Thank you as well to everyone who sponsored and donated today. These young cyclists have played a very special part in helping raise funds for this year's Gala Day.

Hopefully the rain won’t put anyone off this morning’s bike ride at the racetrack. A few laps from the kids and they’ll be contributing to Gala Day. The Gala Committee will be there too — because if we waited for perfect weather, we'd never get anything done! Besides, we're not made of sugar... and if we are, today’s the perfect test. 😂☔🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

We’re so excited about the Bike Ride tomorrow! It’s a fantastic opportunity for the children to get involved, have fun, and come together as a community.
Please remember to bring along any sponsorship you’ve collected. No matter how small the amount, every sponsor matters — even £1. Every child who takes part and gains sponsorship will be included in our planning for the Gala Day, so we encourage everyone to get involved.
