Hello, I have been made aware that the banner for the Highland radio control car club that was tied to the fence on the curling rink in Muir of Ord has gone. Can the person who has taken this either return it or get in touch with me or the groups page to arrange it's return. As a club that is not funded and runs only on memberships it is a significant amount to have to be replaced. Thanks

Our weekly club day held at the curling Rink with parking by the public toilets at Muir of Ord is running from 12 noon till 5pm tomorrow.

The aim is to start the qualifying rounds asap. We need 7 but ideally 8 confirmed racers to have two groups and enough marshal's to cover the track. For this racing we use 1/10 scale electric buggies in either 2wd or 4wd and electric powered.

There will be living timing by form of an infra-red timing gantry and all you need to be counted is a £14 transponder mounted in your car and just plugs into a spare port on your receiver and needs a clear line of sight vertically. It will pick up through clear lexan but not painted.

Spectators and people wanting to know more are welcome to come and watch and mooch around the club house and watch the action but are not allowed to be on track without the BRCA Insurance. This is the governing body for the sport in the UK. This only costs £20 a year and only £10 a year if you don't want to drive but have your public liability insurance.

Our next club day at the ice rink is Sunday 12th of June from 12 lunch time till 5pm!
