We are just about to begin day two of setting up for our Spooky Ghost Train event, which starts this coming Saturday and runs every day for 9 days until October 25th!
The Ghost Train coaches are nearly complete and decoration of our extensive gardens is underway! Another 4 days of extensive decorating and event setup to follow!
Don't forget as well that your event entry includes a ride of the Ghost Train and if you come in Halloween costume you get a second ride on the Ghost Train for FREE!
The event is an excellent value day out, costing only 50p more than a visit to the Heritage Centre on a non event day and two rides on the Quarry Bottom Railway.
Plus your event entry not only includes the Spooky Ghost Train area, but the other areas of the site as well, such as Digger Play, Den Building Tree House, Balance Beams, Discovery Trail with all it's attractions, Butterfly Garden, LMS wagon Museum, Railway Museum, Quarry Heritage Building and Stephenson's Lift Bridge. There's a small extra charge to drive the trains on the Garden Railway and to play the Crazy Golf.
This is a daytime event for children of all ages and runs from 10am until 4pm, last entry at 3pm.

If you'd like to make an even bigger day of it, on Tuesday 20th the Great Central Railway are running trains from Loughborough to the Spooky Ghost Train event. See the GCR website for details
