This coming weekend, August 29th & 30th, is the Heritage Centre’s Steam Days special event!

They'll be two steam locomotives in action, "Colin McAndrew" in the Heritage Centre sidings, and "Roger" hauling passenger trains on our Quarry Bottom Railway!

If you are 16 or over, there's also our driver for a tenner opportunity to drive Colin McAndrew for yourself! Take the controls of our 1911 built historic Steam loco and realise a life longer dream to drive a Steam engine!

Steam loco Roger is on loan to the Heritage Centre from our friends at Statfold Country Park and is due to return there later this year, so this event and our event at the end of September may well be your last chances to ride behind Roger on our Quarry Bottom Railway!
