Please share...hi all,this is the latest photos of the vandalism reoccurring on the Calder Walkway adjacent to Cathedral Primary outside the p.1 gate. Yet again I have contacted senior management at NLC to advise. There will also be a Tennant's event ironically named Housing Matters! It is taking part on Sat 10th November in Daisy Park Community Center at 9.45am. call 01698 302565 to book a place at this event and have your voice heard. This is for all residents not just Daisy Park.

This is 18 days after reporting to Shahid Farooq and Anne Weir(SNP)...no response,Olivia Carson(Labour) ...no response,Pat O Rourke(Labour) ...he is trying to have Restorative Justice help to clear. The matter was escalated to Marion Fellows and Clare Adamson MSP's. I've sent to Vicky Abernethy and Assistant Director of Infrastructure Robert Steenson and Paul Jukes...NLC quoted in Wednesday Motherwell Times that "the glass and litter had been cleared! I walk twice a day on this route and nothing has been touched. I can identify individual glass from weeks and months ago that has been there so long it's impacted in the earth. Today's pics are of Primary 1 Access gate of Cathedral Primary where my son started school. I wonder what the above people's conscience will tell them when a child ends up disfigured as did my dog when he was amputated on Monday. Councillors I would urge you to remember that it is issues like these that your ELECTED POSITIONS are decided on come Campaign time .... and NLC you are public servants ( the clue is in the name)....if the glass isnt going away I've got news for you all-neither am I👋

I'm apologising in advance for a) probably boring people to death with this story and
b)if you're squeamish please look away.....but I want to highlight the consequences of kids, adolescents and yes adults of smashing bottles, crushing and ripping cans etc. This is his latest pics.Hes had an arterial bleed further up the leg and now needs a toe amputation on Monday...what this wee guy has been through physically and emotionally makes me physically sick......and worse....it could've been my son or someone else's. All kids and parents, caregivers please take care on returning to school on Calder pathway-this was reported 31st July to Director of Infrastructure of NLC,4 local Councilors, MSP Clare Adamson and Motherwell Times running story this Wednesday edition.....let's see what's done🤔

The Greenlink and in particular the walkway from Cathedral Primary School and down to Forgewood is a health hazard to our residents, children and animals. On Monday 30th July my dog was injured with broken glass and had an arterial bleed and on 2nd wound his pad is sheared to the joint and bone and is facing probable toe amputation next week.
It has far went beyond an aesthetic issue and is now a serious health risk. The injury my dog suffered was horrendous and has ended in probable amputation of a toe. This could be our children travelling and playing in this area and be seriously harmed and with school term beginning in 2 weeks this is alarming. I have sent detailed correspondence to local Councillors and the Motherwell Times in the hope we can raise awareness and find solutions before more serious injuries occur. The Greenlink is a beautiful walkway we are privileged to have on our doorstep and its being destroyed for our children.

Please get behind this petition folks...the bigger the crowd the louder the voice.
