Grassroots Grants, delivered in partnership with Postcode Lottery, offers unrestricted funding of up to £2,000 to small organisations across England making a positive difference in their communities.

If your organisation improves access to green spaces, reduces the impact of poverty in your local area, encourages participation in the arts or delivers wellbeing events to vulnerable communities, you could apply for funding of up to £2,000 to support your vital work and deliver change.

Funding is unrestricted and flexible and can be used to serve your community.

Applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis and are open to eligible voluntary or community organisations, registered charities, and CICs with an annual turnover under £25,000.

Applications close 30 September 2026.

Michal Rosinski’s Success at the European Masters Nordic Walking Championships!

On 2 May 2026, Michal Rosinski represented Muirhouse and Flemington Community Group and North Lanarkshire at the European Masters Nordic Walking Championships in Catania, Sicily.

Michal was the first and only representative of the United Kingdom in the competition and achieved an excellent 5th place in the M40 category.

This is a fantastic achievement not only for Michal, but also for the “Nordic Walking for Everyone” project organised by Muirhouse and Flemington Community Group with support from The Growth Pot Fund.

For the past year, the project has encouraged local residents to become more active, improve their health, and spend time together through Nordic walking. Michał’s success shows that regular training, commitment, and passion can lead to international sporting achievements.
