Green Acres Future

Yesterday we had the pleasure of giving Simon Cox, on behalf of Morpeth Rugby Football Club a tour of our Green Acres site.
MRFC were early supporters of our Sustainability in Sport project, and are into year 3 of their Sustainability campaign (carbon audits, offsetting, community efforts etc).
Simon had the pleasure of meeting Sally and her lamb pals, had a full tour of the crops and flowers, a look around our burgeoning site and then planted 3 trees, to add to those already planted on MRFC's behalf.

As per, nothing was planned or scripted, and the conversation went off in all areas.

We're delighted to announce the latest join up to our Sustainability in Sport campaign, Hebburn Town FC . ⚽️

Hebburn are a successful club, with a huge community programme, and are embarking on major developments at their ground.
We, Green Acres Future , have provided the for this development, and will be partnering with Hebburn FC to do lots more in the future. 🌳🌳
Stephen Rutherford has been great to deal with, and it's been rewarding to find we share values on the role of sport and the community.

As part of our link-up we donated Hebburn FC a SafeShel tent, These are a brilliant invention, designed to shelter any players unfortunate enough to suffer serious injury , whilst they wait for an ambulance.

Giving back to the community is a key part of our Green Acres mission, and this is a cracking way to do so.

We would like to donate one of these tents to as many clubs as possible, as we grow the network of Sustainability in Sport, please get in touch if this is of interest, wherever you are.

If people ever ask me why we do what we do, Im going to show them this video.
Seemingly overnight, our birdfeed and wildflower crops have burst into life.
Look at the colours, listen to the sounds.....absolutely joyous.

Getting 'lost in the moment ' is always a joy, and happens at the oddest times..
I was on taxi duty last night, picking my daughter and pals up from Kelso races late on.
This view, as the sun was setting circa 10ish was so amazing that I stopped and admired it for a while. The clouds and colours were spectacular enough, but the warm weather created that weird 'double horizon' thing.
The picture doesn't really do it justice, but you can see the band of cool air sitting just above the hill-top, performing tricks with the light.

Nature is a wonderful thing, you just have to look.

Great to see our flower meadows springing to life in the ☀️☀️.

The red clover is a particular favourite, although all look 👌🏽

Storytelling chair nearly done.

All our bits are made onsite from trees from local woods that have either fallen or been thinned.

We donate these items to local schools on behalf of our Green Acres clients.

This was a special request, and will be in place very soon.
