Morpeth Youth Basketball Club Club Practice Times:
Mondays 5-6pm for u14s (Y8, Y9)
Mondays 6-7pm U16, U18 (Y10-Y13)
Wednesdays 4pm-5pm U8/10 (Y1-5) Wednesdays 5pm-6pm U12 (Y6, Y7)

Morpeth Youth Basketball Club is the junior branch of Morpeth Basketball club which was founded in 1997. Training is held at Morpeth Leisure Centre every Monday, except Bank Holidays. Boys and Girls train and play alongside each other. The U12 and U14 teams train from 17:00-18:00
The U16 and U18 teams train from 18:00-19:00
The U10 teams train on a Wednesday from 17:00-18:00.
4 Teams play on the weekend in the Central Venue League organised by the Newcastle Eagles Community Foundation.

Morpeth A- 36-16 Rockets
U14A MVP: Henry- SCORED AN UNBELIEVABLE LOGO SHOT 🔥 Dominated the game today, lots of drives.
Matty- Unreal block, smashed it today, lots of drives and awesome defence.

Morpeth B- 62-16 Hornets
U14B MVP: Evan- Such a good game today, maximum effort with his defence and scored a GREAT and 1 too 💪

Morpeth A- 22-30 Griffins

We continue our good run of form with 3 more wins added to this seasons record. Playoffs 🔜 🫡?

MVP:
U14 A: Leo for outstanding rebounding and getting plenty of steals 💪
U14 B: Charlie for playing with great intensity and driving strongly to the Basket.
U16 A: Matty! Got some great steals, played against older kids and dominated in the paint 🔥
Joey: Top scorer for that game- grabbed lots of offensive rebounds and put them straight up 🔝

u14 Morpeth A- Beat the Royals in a close game 28-23.
u16 Morpeth A- Beat Hoopstars in a very close game, both teams battled hard. 32-25
u16 Morpeth B- Beat NSBC by a forfeit. 20-0
MVP:
u14B- Louie for his incredible help defence, and Harry for getting more confidence and scoring a few points 🔥
u14A- Matty, for marking Royal’s biggest threat, keeping him quiet and getting some amazing blocks.
u16B- Daniel, for playing incredible defence and working really hard throughout the game.
u16A- Alex B, didn’t get subbed the whole game- worked super super hard to keep his team in the game. Reuben- having a tough job of marking somebody much taller, excellent boxing out and drives.
