Ready! Steady! Cook!

What a night, pure chaos from the start watching the scouts work out what they could cook with their bag of ingredients and starting to make it.

They all did amazing! We managed to sample each groups cooking and it was Delicious!

It’s that time of year again… 🔥🎆

To those who came last year, you experienced just how incredible — and affordable — our Bonfire Night was…

Well, this year will be bigger and better!!!

What’s better than a warm jacket potato with homemade chilli, a bonfire and a firework display?

A warm jacket potato with homemade chilli, HOMEMADE APPLE CRUMBLE, a bonfire and a firework display!! 😍

A few of our leaders have been hard at work over the past two weeks, picking apples from local orchards that were generously donated to us, then cooking them down into the most amazing stewed apple before freezing it, ready for Bonfire Night.

This really isn’t a night to miss!

🔥 Bonfire lighting at 6pm
🎆 Firework display
🥔 Jacket potatoes with homemade 3 bean chilli, tuna, beans & cheese
🌭 Hot dogs
🍎 Homemade apple crumble
🍿 Popcorn & sweets
💷 £1 entry — please bring cash

Most importantly, every penny raised helps support 3rd Morecambe Scout Group.

Please come along, bring the family and support your local Scout Group! ⚜️

Great night out with the Scouts orienteering at Williamson Park. They all did amazing with their map reading, some learning and others helping to teach the younger ones.

We had an Awesome evening at scouts tonight. We started with Soft Archery 🏹 and then moved on to pioneering 🪢 to help lift our targets higher!

Well done Scarlett and Belle who both hit the bullseye 🎯

Our Scout Group needs you! ⚜️

We’re holding our Group AGM tonight at 7:30pm, and everyone connected with the group is warmly invited to join us.

It’s a great opportunity to hear more about what’s happening across the group, what we’ve been working on and, most importantly, what we have planned for the year ahead.

Our group relies on people giving a little of their time to help us continue providing great opportunities for our young people. We’re currently looking for a new Treasurer, as well as people who may be interested in supporting our Fundraising Committee.

Whether you can offer a little time, have some great ideas, or simply want to find out more, we’d love to see you tonight at 7:30pm! 💚⚜️

We need your help!!!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope you are all well.

We are writing to you as the Trustees of the Scout Group to ask for your support. Like many volunteer-led organisations, we rely heavily on the help and involvement of our community—and at the moment, we urgently need a little extra help to keep things running smoothly and to continue offering great opportunities for our young people.

Fundraising Committee

We are looking to form a small fundraising committee made up of parents and supporters. This group would help organise and coordinate fundraising events throughout the year. These could be simple and enjoyable activities, and you would not be expected to do it alone—Trustees will support you in planning and will also be present to help on the day of events.

Even giving a small amount of your time can make a big difference.

Treasurer Role

We also need to fill the important role of Treasurer. Our current Treasurer, Dan, has unfortunately had to step down due to other commitments, and we are very grateful for all his hard work and dedication.

The Treasurer role involves overseeing the group’s finances, keeping records up to date, and helping ensure the group remains financially healthy. Support and a handover period will be provided to help the new Treasurer settle into the role.

If you feel you could help with either the fundraising committee or the Treasurer position—or would simply like to find out more—please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

Your support is vital in helping us continue to provide a positive and enriching experience for all our Scouts.

Thank you for your time and continued support.

Kind regards,
The Trustees
3rd Morecambe Scout Group
