It is with deepest sadness that I am informing you that Val Vose our group treasurer passed away last night.
Val started her time at 11th Morecambe Scout Group at 16 when she came to help out, since starting at that tender age Val has been Cub Leader, Scout Leader and Group Scout Leader. Val has served over 50 years in some leadership capacity at 11th Morecambe. Due to health reasons Val stepped down as Group Scout Leader however she continued to support the group as our treasurer.
Val was a terrific mentor and guide to new leaders within our group. Val kept us well fed on all our camps and was an inspiration to us all.
Val will be sorely missed at 11th.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
