π AND THAT'S A WRAP! THANK YOU, EVERYONE! π
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined in with tonight's Grab It deals! Whether you managed to grab yourself a bargain, bagged a little freebie, shared our posts or followed along with the madness, we really do appreciate you all! π
We hope that tonight has helped make visiting The SEND Den a little more affordable for some of our families. We've thrown out some fantastic discounts, a few freebies and some opportunities that we hope will make a difference, even if it's only a small one.
And there's a reason behind it all. π
We know just how difficult things are financially for so many families right now. The cost of living is having a huge impact on us all, and for families raising children with additional needs, those pressures can often be even greater.
And then there's that horrible word we all seem to hear far too often...
FUNDING.
"We can't provide that support because of funding."
"There's no funding available."
"There's a waiting list because of funding pressures."
"We haven't got the resources."
Whether it's accessing the right support, getting timely medical treatment, securing appropriate provision or simply trying to access opportunities that should be available to everyone, money and funding seem to be at the centre of so many barriers.
We know that feeling of constantly being told what can't happen rather than looking at what can.
At The SEND Den, we never want finances to be the reason a family feels they can't be part of our community.
We do have to be realistic. We're a not-for-profit organisation, but that doesn't mean we don't have bills to pay, staff to support or a centre to keep running. We face those same financial pressures, and unfortunately, we can't give everything away for free. As much as we'd absolutely love to! π₯Ή
But what we CAN do is look for opportunities to give a little back whenever we're financially able to.
Sometimes that might be a discounted session. Sometimes a freebie. Sometimes something completely different.
It might not change the world, but if it makes one family's week a little easier, gives a young person something to look forward to or allows someone to enjoy an experience they might otherwise have missed out on, then it's worth doing. π
Because The SEND Den has never been just about providing a place to play.
It's about building a community. Reducing isolation. Supporting families. Making people feel valued, included and understood.
And looking after each other wherever we can.
Thank you for supporting us, for believing in what we're trying to achieve and for continuing to be part of this wonderful little community we're building together.
We'll always do what we can, when we can, with what we have. π
And sometimes, it's those little things that can make the biggest difference.
Lots of love,
The SEND Den Team ππ
