Unique Kidz & Co Set up by 2 Mums who could not find suitable childcare that would meet the needs of their disabled children Unique Kidz and Co was created to fill that gap..

Our mission is to advance the social and play opportunities of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities including their siblings. Unique Kidz and Co now offers After school and Holiday Clubs, Stay and Play sessions all for disabled children.. We also have a Siblings group that is for brothers and sisters of children with a disability.
4Ever Unique is our new service offering Day Time Support 5 days week for young adults with disabilities ages 16 to 25

The biggest night in the Unique Kidz & Co fundraising calendar is coming back in 2027!

Our Annual Charity Ball is returning to the wonderful Castle Green Hotel - managed by Legacy Hotels & Resorts in Kendal for another fantastic evening of entertainment, fundraising and plenty of Unique fun!

We’re also delighted to welcome back Westmorland Homecare - Lancaster & Morecambe as sponsors for another year! 💜

💜 Inspirations of the Week 💜

It’s been a week full of creativity, confidence, connection and community at Unique Kidz & Co.

This week, we celebrated support from Mazuma Mobile, creative fundraising, community involvement and the incredible efforts of our volunteers.

We’re delighted to announce that Mazuma Mobile is supporting our Give Us a Hand this Christmas campaign. They have made an incredible £2.5k donation and have chosen Unique Kidz & Co as their local charity of the year for 2027!

Their support will help us continue creating opportunities and making a difference in the lives of local children, young people and families, and we can’t wait to start working together.

Our Paint & Sip evening at Cappuvino Bar and Restaurant brought creativity, connection and fundraising together, while our young adults shared their skills in the community.

Meanwhile, 20 dads took on Pintz & Ponytailz, learning new skills, sharing plenty of laughs and raising £340 for Unique Kidz & Co! Thank you to The Bath Morecambe and Lancaster & Morecambe College.

Our wonderful volunteers have been busy too, collecting at Asda and Morrisons. Together, they raised £289 while spreading awareness of Unique Kidz & Co and connecting with our local community.

Our talented young people at Unique Kidz & Co are getting ready to take to the stage for Showcase, and we can't wait for you to see what they've been working on!

It's going to be a wonderful celebration of creativity, confidence and everything that makes our young people so Unique! 💜

A new first for our young adults from 4Ever Unique as they took their Makaton baking skills out into the community!

Our team loves getting out and about to lead activities, and this time they visited Arkholme C of E Primary School to help the children make some delicious owl-shaped cookies, learning Makaton signs along the way!

Everyone had a fantastic time, with the children picking up lots of new signs and even enjoying a little sing-song while they waited for their biscuits to bake.

And the feedback afterwards made the experience even more special!

Emma Muckalt, EYFS Leader and SENCO at Arkholme Primary School, told us how much she'd enjoyed the session, particularly praising one of our young adults for his wonderful interactions with the children.

She also shared how surprised she and her teaching assistant were to see some pupils, who don't usually get involved in group activities, joining in and engaging with the session!

It's moments like these that show just how valuable our community projects are, not only for the children taking part, but for our young adults too.

Our young adults are building confidence, developing communication skills and taking on meaningful roles in their community, all while creating lovely experiences for others.

And the best bit? We've already been invited back to deliver another baking session AND a sensory story!

What a fantastic achievement for our young adults. We're so proud of them! 💜

A lovely surprise from Joe! 💜

After completing his work placement with us, Joe popped back into Unique Kidz & Co with flowers for our Quality & Improvement Manager Janet and biscuits for the team, as a little thank you for his time here.

But it's us who should be thanking Joe!

Joe is studying Public Services at Lancaster & Morecambe College and chose to spend his placement with us to gain experience that he hopes to take into a future career in policing.

He's been a fantastic addition to the team, getting stuck into everything and building some lovely connections with our young people.

We've shared a little more about Joe, his ambitions and what he's taken away from his time at Unique Kidz.

We're putting the finishing touches on Wednesday's Paint & Sip at Cappuvino, Lancaster, and there's still time to grab one of the remaining places!

This time we're embracing Cosy Season, painting beautiful autumn-inspired wooden coasters for you to take home.
