Please join our Cross Bay walk to help!
The Venus & Cupid Arts Trust took over the much loved sculpture on Morecambe promenade in 2015 with public fundraising. Sadly, the severe winter of 2018 caused unexpected damage and we are raising funds to cover the repair costs.
Date:- Sunday 12th May, 2019. 10 am registration for 11.15am start.

In advance: Discounts for parties of 3 or more people: Adult: £10. 16-17 years: £7. Child (11-15): £5.

Morecambe TV Street Art Up for Grabs!

Morecambe's most unusual & quirky public artwork is looking for a new home and installed free. The 80s Eric testcard by Shane Johnstone, Morecambe Resident Artist and the creator of our iconic Venus & Cupid statue. The Mosaic TV started as a real 80's TV set found in a West End alleyway but is now transformed and entirely solid mosaic. Made in 2016 for an exhibition celebrating the 75th anniversary of Eric and Ernie's comedy partnership it has featured on the walls of Morecambe library, More Music's Hot House and recently overlooking the Midland Hotel from the walls of Rita's Cafe. Now moved to make way for a huge Vintage mural to stretch from the promenade to the back of Briggs Shoes we'd like to find it a new home. To make your building a landmark on Morecambe's street art trail just message us here; and this could be the beginning of your own street art gallery. Any building is eligible; private, domestic, commercial or civic. All we ask is that the site chosen is located within the public view.
