Unfortanately Pea and some of her gang are not well enough to host today's "No Pea in the Pool game" which was helping her family raise money to climb Mount Everest next year on behalf of The Huntingtons Society, restore Pea and create a free event for families in her local park. She is now under house arrest and been ordered to rest, eat as much soup as possible, avoid being out in the rain which is due when she would have been meeting you all. Pea and the gang are gutted but know there will be other events in the future just not today. Sorry pea-ple x Pea has asked her mummy to put the word out that even thou she can't be with you all today she is still collecting food on behalf of Westend Impact and this can be left at either Regent Park Pavillion or 36 buckingham road la44lx and will be delivered when Pea is feeling better possibly in the next fortnight. Anyone wanting to help now can donate at all the local food stores who have food bank collection points and at Westend Impact opposite the Bay Medical Practice at the battery Morecambe.

Can you guess the soups she is having?

Pea is taking great comfort that even thou she can't go out she can hear all the music throughout the town as the Morecambe Music Festival continues on it 4th day and is relieved that the Fringe Festival is running for a couple of weeks yet.

On a positive note whilst Pea was trying to get her game set up yesterday before having to be cancelled due to bad weather a lovely gentleman donated Β£100 towards her Pea Project and this will be sent over to the Everest collection team next week! A massive thankyou to this person x as you can imagine Pea was speechless and quite emotional to say the lest.

Pea hasn't been her self lately with all different issues happening around her and this caused her to sit and soak on her drive for quite some time. Even her mummy noticed and asked Pea whether she felt up to helping out on her next Pea project which Pea agreeded after a chat with Travis who was dropping off the stones for her new bed/drive. Pea seemed alot better in her self after talking to him.

Off Pea set with her mummy to thier local westend to come across something that really made her smile. Pea had heard all about the wonderful things happening at Westend Impact but finally got to see it for herself. Her mummy explained how the people at Westend Impact had been clearing, planting and growing all different kinds of vegetables to be haverested to help feed the people of Morecambe. "WOOOOPEA" Pea shouted. What a fantastic idea!.
Before Pea could say anymore a bike zoomed past her and pea was sure he was driving too fast. She had a feeling that he didn't really care but knew if he continued to speed eventually the police would stop him. Her mummy asked her to move to the side of the road to be safer and wanted to show her something else.

It was George the geography van and pea listened to her mummy teaching her about all the different countries in the world. Her mummy asked Pea if she was OK to continue on their day out and Pea replied yes so off they went to Yorkshire Street to say hello to Matt and the gang from The Playhouse. Matt told Pea all about his Fringe Festival that was taking place in Morecambe and Carnforth over the next fortnight. Pea began to beg her mummy to be apart of it and her mummy agreeded that she could plan another day out to experience it.

After this Peas mummy popped over the road to a shop called Mystifying Oddities ran by a very lovely lady called Nikki. Pea said hello whilst her mummy ordered a surprise for pea but wouldnt tell her what and said its being hand made and she'd have to wait. Nikki the shop owner makes all sorts of wonder things esp concrete displays that customers can design. Peas mummy didn't tell Pea but she ordered a campervan concrete planter that would have sweet peas growing out of it but would take a few months to complete so knew Pea wasn't very good at being patient it might not be best to tell her yet. Onwards they went but Pea seemed alittle tired so her mummy decided to take her for a quick recharge. On the way they both stopped to look at a great sign that they both related to! What a fantastic statement and something pea loves doing!.
Pea started to spark up and asked her mummy whether she could go for a spin so her mummy took her all the way round the one way system at Lancaster then on to the Lancaster Castle to meet a General to have a chat. Pea nattered away about her day and how she was having a new bed made for her. The general advised her she should only use Pea gravel but Pea forgot to tell her mummy on the way home and drove straight on to the new bed. Opppsssss she was well and truely stuck :( No amount of pushing could get her off so her mummy had to call her brother who managed to save the day! Pea is now resting after all her adventures and preparing for her next Everest Pea Project.

Pea will be at her favourite local park called Regent Park tom Saturday 8th July 2023 between 12 - 5pm to continue to challenge pea-ple to play her game "No Pea in the Pool" to win prizes for a small fee. Pea heard that westend impact had put a plea out asking for people who could help to kindly donate food so peas decided that if some people could bring tins she could lower the price to play so that all funds would not only help her family raise the money needed to climb Mount Everest next year but also help people in the local community at the same time. Not only will Pea be there awaiting the fun and games with you all she has also heard that the Morecambe Music Festival is on aswell so it should be a great weekend in her new home town with so much happening. Pea hopes to see as many of you as possible 🟒🟒🟒🟒🟒🟒🟒🟒🟒🟒🟒🟒🟒🟒🟒🟒

A village butcher who has worked in his local community for 39 years has swapped an apron for robes by becoming the new Lord Mayor of Bare.
Chris Mount was officially inaugurated into the role in a ceremony on the green on Princes Crescent, Bare, at the Barefest festival on Saturday.

He also took part in the 'No Pea in the Pool' game on the green, where people climbed into a ball pool to find small plastic peas! This was a fundraiser organised by Haley Aspey and her children Lucy, Jack and Luke, from Morecambe, to raise money on behalf of the Huntington's Disease Association for a trip to Mount Everest.
