Final Score: Pitreavie Utd 2️⃣ - 3️⃣ Montrose Youth

Scorers: F. Holroyd, M. Reid (pen), K. Swankie

A brilliant night for football and an outstanding performance from the boys. We raced into a 3-0 half-time lead through Finn, Miller and Kody, before showing great character to withstand a strong Pitreavie comeback in the second half.

Despite plenty of pressure late on, the boys stood firm to see out the victory and complete an incredible treble! 🏆🏆🏆

An unbelievable first season at 11-a-side for this group. Their hard work, determination and togetherness throughout the campaign have been rewarded and the boys have been absolutely superb from start to finish. Well done to every single one of them! 👏🏻💙🤍

We head into our final game of the season and the East Regional Cup Final as we take on a very strong Pitreavie United side, who currently sit joint top of the Fife Division 1 league. The boys know they'll need to be at their very best, but these are the occasions they've worked hard for throughout the season.

After a fantastic campaign that has already seen the team lift the league title and one cup trophy, they now have the opportunity to finish the season on a real high. With two strong sides competing for silverware, we are expecting a competitive and entertaining final.

Although it's a midweek fixture and a bit of a journey, we would love to see as many supporters as possible make the trip to St Andrews and get behind the boys one last time this season. The support they've received throughout the year has been brilliant and has played a huge part in their success 🔵⚪️

PETER MCAVOY CUP FINAL 🏆

Final Score: Maryfield Utd 0️⃣ - 4️⃣ Montrose Youth

Scorers: Demir x2, M. Reid, S. McBeath

The boys travelled to Dundee North End for the first of our two cup finals and produced a superb performance to lift the Peter McAvoy Cup. A bit of a scrappy cup final at times, but the boys took their chances well and deserved the win.

Goals from Demir and Miller gave us a 2-0 lead at the break. Maryfield had a couple of opportunities of their own, but Murray produced a brilliant save at 2-0 to keep our advantage intact.

The boys added two more in the second half through Demir and Struan to seal the victory.

Winning the league title and now completing the double in their first season of 11-a-side football is a fantastic achievement. One more cup final to go against Pitreavie in the East Regional Cup.

Well done to all the players today. Every one of them gave everything and to Demir who got MOTM 🔵⚪️🏆

With our league campaign now complete and no game this weekend, full focus now turns to next Sunday’s cup final against Maryfield United.

Maryfield knocked us out of both the League Cup and Scottish Cup earlier in the season in two tough away matches. So there’s no doubt this will be another highly competitive game between two good sides.

The boys are really looking forward to the challenge and after a fantastic season so far, they deserve a big support behind them for the final.

Hopefully we will see a great turnout there to get right behind the lads 🔵⚪️

Final score: Montrose Youth 6️⃣ - 1️⃣ St Andrews Colts

Scorers: F Holroyd x2, M Reid, N Walker, S McBeath, Demir

A brilliant day for football in front of a big crowd as we signed off our first league season by lifting the trophy.

The game started scrappy and St Andrews took the lead early on, but the boys responded well. Goals from Struan and Finn gave us a 2–1 lead at half-time before a dominant second half performance saw Nolan, Miller, Demir and Finn from the spot add to the scoreline.

The second half was much more like us, winning battles, pressing well and giving St Andrews very little chance to threaten.

Huge thanks to everyone who came along to support the boys and joined us afterwards in the lounge at Links Park 🏆🔵⚪️

There is no fixture this Sunday as we now turn our attention to the first of our two cup finals.

On Sunday 31st, we will face Maryfield United at Dundee North End’s ground with an 11am kick-off.

Further details will follow closer to the time ⚽🏆

A really proud moment for us and everyone who’s been part of this journey this season. This group of lads has worked unbelievably hard, stayed together through everything, and fully deserved to be crowned league champions after winning 18 of 20 games, with only 2 defeats all season.

With 2 cup finals still to come, there’s plenty left to play for, but what a first season at 11-a-side it’s been 🔵⚪️

After reaching two cup finals in our last two matches, attention now turns back to our final league game of what has been a fantastic first season at 11-a-sides for the boys.

Having already secured the league title, the team will be presented with their league trophy and winners medals at the end of the match, a moment they have all worked incredibly hard for all season.

A special mention also goes to St Andrews Colts Reds 2013 and their manager Bobby, who have kindly offered to give the boys a guard of honour onto the pitch. It’s a fantastic gesture of sportsmanship and respect, something you don’t often see at any level of football. Huge credit to them for going the extra mile 👏🏻

After the game, celebrations will continue back at the Lounge at Links Park and we are hoping to see another big crowd along to support the boys as they create memories that will stay with them for a lifetime 🔵⚪️🏆
