Monimail Tower Project

Monimail Tower Project Sustainable horticulture, preservation of historic monument MTP is a registered charity.

Its aims are education, to provide relief for those who are undergoing mental stress and provide a resource for these aims to take place. This work has always been done through horticultural and it’s related fields. We understand these aims in the broadest sense and many of our day to day activities help to fulfill them. We also run a range of workshops with a focus on horticulture or personal dev

elopment, which are usually well attended by people from the local community. As the Tower and its surrounds are classed as scheduled monument it’s restoration and up keep are also charitable aims. We are currently 11 members (including two residents) and 4 hens: Gimli, Ori, Bombur and Dwalin

Paula and Adam run a great fermentation workshop last month. Lots of cabbage has been chopped and packed tight in jars.

There was a large interest in the workshop so keep an eye on our posts for more. Most likely another one happening early next year.

A maaasive thank you to everyone who showed up yesterday to help us collect, eat and juice our apples and for those of you who brought their own fruit to juice. It started wet and ended up very windy but absolutely lovely in between. We juiced a river of juice which is now bottled and ready to either be frozen, drunk or turned into a cider.
And this would not happen without Will from Tayport Community Garden, who came with his press, mincer and maaany stories about apples.
