Henry Smith Charity - Early Years Parenting Fund

The first five years of a child’s life matter.

They shape a child’s future health, education and wellbeing. And they lay the foundations for opportunity later in life. For many parents, the right support can make a lasting difference. A trusted worker. Advice that makes a difference. A group where they feel understood. Support that fits around family life.

We’re funding organisations to improve outcomes for children aged newborn to five through effective, culturally grounded parenting support.

Applicants must:

either work closely with parents with children aged newborn to five from Black (Caribbean or African, Any Other Black), Pakistani, and Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities

and / or

• Work with parents with children aged newborn to five living in areas ranked within the most deprived 20% nationally (using the relevant national deprivation index for the location of your work)

Full application deadline (by invitation): 21 August 2026, 5pm
