Hi Everybody

Firstly a VERY BIG THANK YOU to all those who joined/rejoined for the coming season. A whopping £2436 has been raised, meaning £1218 will be going out in prizes and the same amount to help run the Parish Hall and community events.

The first draw took place yesterday afternoon and the lucky winners are:

August has been a month of planning events for the rest of 2026 and saying ‘thank you’ to our committee. We had a bit if a do in the garden at the back of the Parish Hall. It’s now tidy with the addition of picnic benches for use if you hire the hall! 😊

Calling all families! We’d love some more children’s entries into the village show this year. Thanks to the parents who asked if Knex and Meccano can be used as well as Lego for the models. Yes, any type of construction toys can be used. Start building now, in between the showers! ☺️

It’s been difficult year for gardening with a hose pipe ban! You may not have many flowers, fruit or veg this year but please enter if you can. Keep watering! Here are some from last year. ☺️

It’s 3 weeks to go! If you need some straw for your scarecrows, we have some bags full left over from the Party on the Green. Please collect from Sarah Challoner on Dame Lane. 😊

The last draw of the ‘year’ took place Saturday morning at Book Swap and was drawn by Barbara Law, witnessed by Kath Williamson and those present.

We are now collecting for the new season with the first draw on September 1st. Thank you to all who have already subscribed.
