Your Admin is having huge difficulty in booking weekends off at work...

Hence the lack of update on a poetry reading event! Apologies. Proper.

Would a Wednesday evening work for people? I'm off every Wednesday... But I work most weekends...

I'd also prefer to publish the anthology with a local publisher - not Amazon! Any recommendations for local publishers in the West Somerset (or Somerset in general) area?

Our fifth post focuses on Angela Wensley's poem, The Spirit of False Autumn.

Angela went to school in Minehead and has lived her whole life in Somerset. She's a regular at East Quay's spoken word nights in Watchet, is a member of the Quantock Poets (see http://www.quantockpoetrytrail.com/ to find out more!), and is the admin for the Words in Watchet Literary Festival social media. Her poem focuses on the false autumns that we are experiencing as a result of climate change 🌍

First up is Linda Macfarlane's poem, Though the Leaves are Falling. Due to a Messenger glitch and delayed delivery, Linda's poem was only added to the mix last week!

Linda moved to Minehead from Bristol 3 years ago, having spent twenty years holidaying at Blue Anchor. This is what led her to fall in love with Minehead 😍

Our seventh post focuses on Robyn Hunt's poem, BrownCoat.

Robyn is a seasoned poet within our competition and previous winner this summer. Fortunate enough to have lived and grown up in beautiful Minehead, and the surrounding area, Robyn's family still live in the area. She always looks forward to coming home to visit from Edinburgh where she currently lives. She has no doubt that the beauty of this part of the world has left its indelible mark on her imagination.
