It’s been a beautiful spring day today! We have had lots of families enjoying the trail and the crafts from Milton Keynes Play Association (MKPA) at Stony Stratford Library. If you would like to join in, please buy your maps from Odells for £1 (cash only). If you are planning to do the trail, please plan ahead and check the opening times of Odells over the bank holiday weekend (the library will be closed).

Easter Storytimes at Stony Stratford Library!

Over the Easter holidays Stony Stratford Library will be running two special Easter Storytimes! Come along prepared with your Easter jokes and riddles and enjoy Easter themed stories, songs and rhymes. Older children are welcome to join the Storytimes too. The Easter Storytimes will be running on Thursday, 2nd and Thursday, 9th April at 10am. Come and join the fun at your local Library!

🐣We are busy working on our annual Stony Easter trail… We will be posting an update on this soon!

🙌 Here are some (belated) pictures from our first Christmas trail. Thank you to our friends at Odells Ironmonger, Stony Stratford for selling our trail maps, to Stony Stratford Library for giving out trail treats, to Milton Keynes Play Association (MKPA) for supplying prizes and craft packs and, to Oxfam Stony Stratford, Willen Hospice Bookshop, Stony Stratford, Adolpho Designs, Age UK, Jane's Knit and Stitch Emporium, The House of Dough and Back To The Fuchsia, Milton Keynes for participating in our trail.

Stony Live! 2026 Brochure Front Cover Competition

The yearly festival of music, dance, drama, comedy and art will run from June 6th to 14th, and we are inviting the young people of the area to design the front cover!

If you are between the ages of 3 and 14, you could not only be our brochure cover artist, but you will also be the recipient of a certificate and a £20 book token for Willen Hospice book shop right here in Stony Stratford.

If that wasn’t enough, the winning design will be displayed in the Stony Stratford Library! So get creative, think about what Stony Live! is from all the things that happen - music, dance, drama, comedy, art, the Vintage Car Show, the bunting on the High Street, the Day of Dance, the floral displays around town, the Big Lunch… anything that YOU think represents this festival.

The competition opens on Monday March 2nd and closes on Wednesday 1st April and you can hand your applications in to our friends at Stony Stratford Library. Please submit your artwork in an envelope, no bigger than A3 size and in PORTRAIT ORIENTATION, with your name and age on the front of the envelope, along with the contact details of your parent/carer. Get designing and GOOD LUCK!
