The U12 Jackals travelled away to face Tattenhoe Reds in a game that started with plenty of promise but ultimately ended in disappointment.

The Jackals came flying out of the blocks, playing some great football and creating several excellent chances. On another day, they could easily have found themselves 3-0 up inside the opening 10 minutes!

Unfortunately, an error at the back allowed Tattenhoe to get in behind the defence and take the lead against the run of play.

That goal proved to be a turning point. The Jackals' heads dropped, and they quickly lost the shape, confidence and composure they had shown in the opening stages.

Despite their efforts, the Jackals struggled to regain control, allowing the game to slip away from them, with Tattenhoe eventually securing a 3-0 victory.

It's a tough lesson for the team, but one they'll hopefully learn from. The opening 10 minutes showed exactly what this group is capable of. Now it's about building the resilience and belief to keep playing that way, even when things don't go to plan.

🏆 Player of the Match – Frankie 🏆

A well-deserved POTM for Frankie between the sticks! Despite a difficult afternoon, he produced some fantastic saves and showed great determination to keep the scoreline respectable. Without his efforts, the result could have been much worse. Brilliant work, Frankie!

Heads up, Jackals! Learn from it, stick together and come back stronger!

Willen Sharks u9s were on the road away to Kempston Rovers.

Sharks have been competitive all season but were really looking to find a balance between getting forward but also staying solid at the back. This was a really close game from start to finish with two good teams battling hard and also producing lots of good chances.

Sharks started well but Kempston grew into it and with growing pressure the Willen keeper stepped up and produced some stunning saves at the end which kept the boys spirit up.

Kempston were great hosts and it was an enjoyable game today.

We wish them well and hope to see again.

Willen Warriors Under 10's Vs Bromham Blues Under 10's.

A very positive first half showing from Willen, passing and moving the ball nicely and creating lots of brilliant chances.
Second half and with the wind against us the game saw Bromham grow in confidence and putting our defence under huge pressure.

End to end game where we grow and learn as a team.

Proud of this bunch!

U16 Rockets v Real Bedford Wixam

Once the game settled Wixam had a spell of possession but Rockets kept their shape and composure in defending.. Rockets grew in confidence, getting on the attack and creating chances themselves.. Wixam took the lead through their wide forward cutting in and finishing well.. Rockets equalised before half time with a similar style goal by Kailen..

Half Time: Rockets 1 v 1 Wixam..

2nd half Rockets played really well with the odd chance for both teams.. Without looking like a stalemate it was heading for a draw until Luke got a shot/cross in which found the bottom corner with 5 minutes to go..

Full Time: Rockets 2 v 1 Wixam..

Willen Rhinos hosted Sundon in the league in what proved to be another frustrating game for the Rhinos.

It was a familiar story for Willen, who are still struggling to find the right balance between defence and attack. The determination and effort were there, with the Rhinos pushing hard to get a result, but without a natural striker leading the line, finding the back of the net continues to be our biggest challenge.

It's certainly not through a lack of trying! The players continue to work hard, battle for every ball and give everything they've got. We know there's work to be done, but we'll keep pushing, learning and searching for that winning formula. The goals and results will come if we keep putting in the effort!

Unlucky, Rhinos, and well done to Sundon!

🏆 Player of the Match – Isaac 🏆

A well-deserved POTM for Isaac, who put in a fantastic shift! He was hungry for the ball from start to finish, worked tirelessly both on and off it, and never gave the opposition a moment's peace. His determination, energy and quality on the ball really stood out. A brilliant all-round performance!

Keep your heads up, Rhinos! We go again!

WHAT. A. PERFORMANCE!

Another fantastic away win for the Willen Pumas.

GOAL SCORERS:

Connor – 1
Harry – 1
Jake – 5

But the most impressive stat of the day?

7 GOALS. 7 DIFFERENT PLAYERS WITH ASSISTS!

Lewis, Zac, Dan, Maksim, Harry, Owen & Bobby!

That tells you everything you need to know about this team!

From the back all the way to the front, EVERY single player played their part today!

The passing was brilliant, the communication was outstanding, and when we get that ball down on the floor and play OUR football, we are absolutely incredible to watch!

Just 5 games into our 11-a-side journey, and we're growing in confidence & improving every week

MAN OF THE MATCH – JAKE!

FIVE goals! What a performance, mate! Absolutely deserved!

But today was about so much more than goals. It was about teamwork, togetherness, hard work and playing for each other.

Enjoy your weekend, Pumas! You've earned it! See you all Monday!
