Last week we talked about eating red foods, this week, it's orange on your plate 🍊πŸ₯πŸ₯• πŸŽƒπŸ‹ Containing beta-carotene which our bodies convert into vitamin A (carrots really are good for your eyesight), orange foods are also high in vitamin C. Each kind of fruit and vegetable has its own extra superpowers, and the sight of them included on your plate really helps to brighten your mood. Those high in vitamin A have been linked to reducing the risk of some cancers, increase cell repair, and could help to reduce risks of strokes through improving blood flow.

You can learn more about what your body needs through 's programme which focuses on getting the right food for YOUR body to support the strength training that will keep your bones strong, improve your balance, lift your mood, and so much more. The next programme starts in September πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ₯³πŸ¦‹

Inspired by the Menopause cookbook, and the ever inspirational , we're going to be sharing tips on "Eat the Rainbow 🌈" and why.

Did you know that eating red vegetables and fruit helps to protect your heart? They contain lycopene which is a powerful antioxidant, helping to prevent cell damage, and it is where the colour comes from. It is still active when heated too so it makes it easy to include in your diet. They are also known to protect against some forms of cancer like stomach, lungs and prostrate.

Meera includes this sort of important information in her Don't Pause for Menopause programme - highly recommended with our first hand experience. You can also learn more about the programme here πŸ‘‰https://meerasmadefromscratch.co.uk/

What an amazingly informative day at the 2024 Don’t Pause For Menopause (DPFM) Symposium in Gerrards Cross hosted by the fabulous Meera Boghul with her dedicated and supportive team. I didn’t take pics of the lovely Anupa though, she guided us through an inner smile meditation at the end – I had my eyes closed! πŸ§˜πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ“·β€οΈ

Look out for details for next year because not only was the food great, the speakers were knowledgeable and it doesn’t matter how much we think we might know, there’s always more as the research continues.

So many experts shared with us from their field of expertise, they included Aziza Sesay Dhiman Shashi Prasad Govind Flora Chande Alexander Kaur Panjabi all kept on track and glued together by Latif as compere.

🀫there’s another little surprise coming … but you’ll have to wait for that until we can share more (but we’re really excited!!!)
