Sharing is caring, now Ecclesia Generation C.I.C was started as a not-for-profit food service that provide food for university and college students in the UK by Alicia Robinson in January 2015. A simple girl who loves to help people, Alicia studied Economics and Applied Computing at the University of Buckingham at that time.
22 years ago she left home with her parents’ savings to embark on what should have been an educational journey that eventually led to this junction; after dropping out of university approximately 6 months after commencement she endured a season of what seemed like endless pain. Somehow she found courage to reassure herself that things would get better and she would get to today. This young lady’s dwelling was life essentially on the streets: during that 4-5 year period she couldn’t have regular showers and had very regular hunger bouts for as long as 21 days. The emotional pain was excruciating and the physical pain was indescribable. Having already suffered much verbal abuse she was too embarrassed to tell anyone so hid it. Alicia said, “Since my family weren’t here- it was easy to conceal the matter. It was at this point in her life that she decided that when I got off the streets, I would help anyone she possibly could. No matter their creed, race, s*x, nationality or religious belief. she wanted to do something for someone. After her situation got better she started volunteering at her local church. Alicia's managers had a dream that possessed her, “they wanted to actualise their vision of providing food, clothing and housing for those in society who are overlooked and living on the fringes - she needed to do something about it. She had a light bulb moment one day and knew exactly what to do to help in the situation. Currently the food project feeds hundreds of homeless people and families who struggle to get by. This is how Sharing is caring now Ecclesia Generation Community Interest Company was birthed. Alicia has since, completed her degree in Economics and Applied Computing, and gone further to obtain a Masters Degree in Money Banknig and Central Banking, and currently pursuing another Masters Degree in Education. She also works as a Data Scientist with an International Bank
