Chairman’s report;

It’s been a month of meeting people, making sure all is ok when I start and when I finish.

We had our first ever meet the committee event which went down incredibly! WATCH OUT FOR OUR HALLOWEEN EVENT on sat 31st Oct and our marshmallow madness in November.

We have finally got football back on the pitches we are keeping a close eye on parking and how the facility is being used to make sure both the football team and residents are all happy! Welcome Shenley FC.

We have a new regular user monthly post keep your eyes out for that one!

I have heard from cllrs, homeowners, reg users and even new residents about all our outings and events and how happy they are with our engagement i can’t wait for you to see the next three.

And one great one to finish with it was an honour and a privilege to actually let Laura Wing take the last meeting as my vice chair incase I was ever unable to fulfill my duties we know she is tried and tested and capable of the role. She may want to kill me at the moment but the test was perfect.

See you all soon.

Just thank you all as usual!

We don't usually put out safety messages, but as Centre Manager I often have to remind users of our safety regulations, but very rarely do I get to see what happens if you don't follow them.

I'm on site at another property which is undergoing remedial electrical works, and this beauty was found still plugged in, live with other 4-way adapters plugged in to it. This is why we ask that our users only bring tested equipment to the centre or hire equipment from reputable sources. We make no apologies for removing dangerous electrical equipment from our centre without notice.

The image shows the inside of a 4-way adapter that has melted from being overloaded, it was hidden behind a shelf and could not be isolated safely. If you have these at home, please please please check them regularly or ideally don't use them!

Chairman’s Monthly Regular User Post;

This is a new idea I have decided to bring in to MCC to let our residents know what’s on at the facility!

We want to encourage each business to flourish and allow the local people to take use of the services we have running.

Now we have loads more than just these guys but these are the only ones who had flyers available for October! So make sure you check back in November for the updated list!

Have a great month all.
