Sometimes the baby we picture is shaped by the baby we were told we were:

"you were such a calm baby,"
"you slept through from six weeks,"
"you cried all the time."

It's natural to expect your own baby to follow that same story. But your baby is writing their own. If your baby isn't quite who you pictured, that's normal.

Good Enough Start is here to create the space for you to get to know your baby, our drop-in groups offer a relaxed, friendly space for you and your little one to interact and play, at your own pace. Did you know that the earliest relationship a baby has with you is already shaping their lifelong wellbeing, from before they're even born? 💛

A big study just confirmed something we've always believed at Good Enough Start: the first 1001 days (that's from pregnancy to your child's 2nd birthday) really are a window of opportunity. Children whose early struggles go unsupported can end up needing significantly more health support down the line, but the good news is, this window means there's real time to make a difference, together.

Can we be honest with you for a second? You don't have to love every moment to be a brilliant parent.

You don't have to gaze adoringly at every nappy.
You're allowed to find the 4am wake-ups bleak.
You can scroll your phone during soft play and still be an incredible mum or dad.

What matters isn't the highlight reel. It's the everyday thread of warmth and safety that runs through your relationship with your child.

You can be tired and still be present.
You can be struggling and still be enough.
